U need a pop filter cuz them p’s is poppin 😂
It’s not nearly as bad as many other creators who swallow their earbud mic
“P’s is poppin “😭
Tbh that’s a lot of features, but “budget” for me is the $100 Scarlett solo 😂
I own one, and I know it doesn’t have as many features as this beauty, but it was only $100 and can still work on MANY other devices
preamps are nowhere near as good tho and that’s the issue. the scarlett is definitely a good starter interface tho
@@daskrunkly3213 not anymore. Get the Volt 1 instead it’s only $150 and miles better than a Scarlett solo. Scarlett has had its run but better is here.
@@noiseoffstudios1268 i agree, the scarlett just can’t compete with the volt and i’ve been trying to sell mine for the longest. it’s really such an average interface and a waste even for beginners. but that’s just my opinion, i don’t consider it the “industry standard” that idea has to go, it’s obsolete.
I dislike my Scarlett Solo 3rd gen. The volume is way too low and if I turn it up it clips badly. My Joyo Momix does a much better job.
@@calyptratus187 i am here because my scarlett 2i2 requires me to mess w the gain on my device and the input gain in my daw for an hour to find the sweet spot i know i can achieve. i will go buy this thing right now if youre telling me i can bypass this INITIAL step!
I got this to use with my MPC One and it is indeed amazing. No noticeable latency and no audio pops or crackling.
It’s solid!
@@AdilConstantineMusic , does it work in windows 10 pc? The usb that come with it is usb c to A?
@@soulfulmusictime3315 yes it comes with USB C to A and according to UAD:
Volt is compatible with Windows 10 64-bit edition and Windows 11. All older Windows operating systems are untested. Although these operating systems may work, they are not supported.
@@AdilConstantineMusic Which one should I get this one or the latest focusrite
@@relaxstation600get this one, newest Focusrite aren't that good. Just check reviews with measurements. Focusrite 2nd gen were better than 3rd and 4th gen.
Short and sweet. Definitely interested in one of these. Going to go check your full review. Thanks!
Thank you! Really loving mine 👌🏼
Looks like a decent piece. I personally use the mackie pro fx 10 just because I dj as well as I'm getting into production. Works best for djing because it gives me 24 built in sound effects.
I got a Volt 4. They need to make an expansion for these. Just more i/o adat, spdif word clock, etc.
Damn!! I was expecting like 300 cuz the quality and all the features
This was my first pick too. It's sleek and plug n play. I only guessed it because I'm shopping for price and portability.
I used a cheap maudio interface in the 2000s, then got a scarlet 2i2 which I used for a long time, still do when travelling. I eventually upgraded to a motu 8 pre I got used for 150 bucks. Those things are a still steal on the used market. The past few years I've been rocking with a UAD x8p and I use the motu 8pre as an adat expansion, though only 4 of the channels still work as it's been used for a long time even before I got it. Those extra 4 channels don't get used too often, but they're there if I need them for extra inputs.
I'm with SSL2+ many good features when playing instruments 😊
You chose really well - I went for Volt 276 and every day wish I'd gone for the SSL12 - the Volt interfaces are great as they give you a little bit of that analog feel as every function on it is controlled by something analog like a button but damn the SSL stuff grants you cleaner sound, a more notice-able second preamp choice, loopback, talk back, adat in for when I want to try more outboard gear, more headphone mix capability with direct monitoring from all the channels... 😩
@@claybennett5875 ssl has a higher noise floor
@@claybennett5875 You should just sell the Volt 276. SSL12 is the best audio interface sub 1000$ imo. I had so many audio interfaces before I finally settled on my current one. But from all my testing, the SSL12 remained the best in that price category.
Excellent video. Helped me greatly
Glad to hear it :)
I wish it had a usb c for headphones so I could plug my iems in through my 4.4mm dac. Literally the most minor nitpick as it's not necessary, I'd just like the audio consistency between everything I use them with
With the same amount of money, you can get used UA Arrow which is identical to Apollo Solo.
These Volt interfaces are super cool for the money. Like, the Volt 1 is literally only $110 right now which is nuts for everything you get and the quality of preamps it has.
Spending just a little more, I would argue that for podcasting and/or live-streaming purposes the UA Volt 176 / 276 is an even better option bc on top of the built in classic UA 610 preamp emulation “vintage” button it has a built in compressor emulated after the 1176. That’s super dope especially for streaming purposes bc you get both of those applied to the signal while recording on the way in without even using any processing power on your computer or introducing any sort of delay in your streaming software by running plugins. I don’t know of any interface at this price point that offers anything like that. The SSL 2+ is a killer deal too for what it is and has the 4K button that emulates their classic 4k console preamp but it doesn’t have a built in compressor so these Volt interfaces are a pretty crazy in terms of price to feature ratio.
how in the world would the UA 176 be good for streaming? there's literally no mute button and all ports are front facing
@@ripF5C I guess I don’t see a problem with either of those things. That’s where most ports are on small interfaces like this, nor do they usually have mute buttons. If you need a mixer, then just get a mixer. A mute button on the interface seems unnecessary for any sort of live streaming (or anything else, really) when you have one in the software and can program a button on your keyboard and/or stream deck to be a mute button. I’m saying in comparison to other budget interfaces like the Volt 1 & 2, the 176 & 276 is an even better option if you have the extra money bc it has a built in 1176 modeled compressor on top of having the classic pre amp emulator. Which means that if you DO use it for some type of live streaming you get both the pre amp emulation and compression applied on the way IN to your computer without having to take up any extra processing in your software by running a plugin. If you just use a usb mic or you don’t don’t use compression or anything when you stream and you’re fine with that, then I guess it won’t matter to you. But if you do and you’re in the market for a new audio interface anyway, the 176 / 276 is a really solid choice. The compressor can obviously be used for recording and such to, but as an audio engineer, I’m personally hardly ever going to record with compression on the way in since it can’t be taken away once it’s recorded that way and I’d prefer to add what I need later. BUT for something like live streaming I’d definitely use it.
@@howtheturntablesW paragraphs
I got the Volt 1, Lovd it
I love mine, they actually have enough headroom for active pickups if you're a guitar player. I tested it and you can even use this with Linux although its not officially supported.
Good to know as I have both active and passive pickup guitars.
Have you tried with active bass pickups by any chance?
@@iduncanw Sorry, I haven't, my bass has passive pickups.
I thought for a while the only downside to it compared to something like the Scarlett 2i2 is that it needs external power. Then I realized I was just dumb and that this is just an option, and that ended up being an extra plus because now I know you can use it in no-computer scenarios (I probably won't, but still).
From what I've read and seen, they both perform really close to each other, but Volt 2 edges it out by having these extra things like the 5VDC power and MIDI IN/OUT. And if you prefer the UA tube preamp emulation over the "Air" setting on the Scarlett, that's an extra edge, too.
The Volt 2 also came with a pretty nice plug-in bundle, so there's that.
Yup exactly! Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts 🧡
Does this work for BandLab ?
Can you connect this to iphone and use the audio from the external mics for the audio to the iphone. Like recording videos and doing livestreams
So since this plugs directly into your iphone, it can sync audio/video automatically without having to do it in post? Let's say for this exact this- making RUclips shorts with INCREDIBLE sound via one of my studio condenser mics and the GREAT video from my iPhone 13?
Correct
Can I use UAD plug-ins with this?
depends on how you define budget.. coz getting u-phoria for half the price
If i plug microphones into the volt and plug the volt into the iphone, will the audio from the microphones be used when recording videos. Will it be used for going live on social media and what not. I want to make sure that I can record videos and livestream using the audi from the microphones plugged into the audi interface.
ive had 2 scarlets before (solo & 2i2 3rd gens) and volt 2 is a different world fr
Ok thanks for the info I think I’m going to put this on the wish list
Can you change the balance of the direct monitoring on this? Or is it just on or off? I don't see a balance knob for direct monitoring.
for this price you might as well get the SSL 2. such a no brainer
Try the arturia minifuse 2, 130 definitely more budget
Is arturia minifuse better ?
Wich one do yoi prefer? UAD or appogee?
I have it and I'm very pleased. It looks pretty, has a flat top, the knobs work well, and there's a direct stereo button. Can't complain about sound quality (using SM58 and SM137 mics as well as electric guitar and midi piano). The vintage knob has some merit warming up the sound of mics as well as instruments.
I have to say that the bloatware you get with it is super dumb though: the packages are gigantic, not that good, and try to lure you into buying overexpensive software and subscriptions. Something more Apple-like that "just works" would have been better.
Ableton Live, which is included, is fine and just as good as Cubase LE Elements, but for a beginner Garageband is just nicer. All the VSTs on the other hand are complicated crap. I don't even want to learn how to work with it. It's just knobs and sliders for big kids. I prefer the hardware vintage knob instead.
Yeah I’m very happy with mine too. I don’t use any of the software that came with it lol I already have full version of Ableton and I just use it as audio interface and its AWESOME! Love the ability to just plug it in directly to my iPad too
Which Software is good to used it with this Interface?
How do you record mono signal like a bass with iOS thou ? Mine always ends up only audible on the left side. I know it’s because the empty channel but how do I fix this ?😂
Hello ))
Please tell me if this device has a loopback function?
Can it be powered by iPhone just like the iPad or do I need to use the 5 volt external power
how do you set it up on fl studio ?
Hi bro. Does the Volt 2 need extra drivers to work with a windows PC? Is it easy to install?
I own this baby and it sounds fantastic! I have no use for the vintage mode, though. Much better than the Scarlett.
Scarlett 2i2 i got bout to set it up
@@flowingthroughveinsofgod great choice too 👌🏼
Can this work with iPhone camera app?
Salaam Alaykum brother Adil! ❤
Wa Alaykum Al-Salaam 🙂
Can it handle 250ohm headphones ??? Pls answer
Does this come with zero latency like the apollo twin x?
Can i use USB C to USB C to my laptop?
Hi can you help when I live stream on tiktok my microphone sound not works
Is the midi out digital or analog?
better than motu m2?
yo should ı get vol 276 or ssl2
Pity it doesn’t come with a pop filter 😂
what daw were you using on your ipad?
Cubasis 3
What about the new Scarlett gem 4
Im trying to figure out what went out while I was in the middle of recording! its like my volt disconnected from my Mac... I have no idea what happened. Its as if its on still but I cant find volt under sounds in my settings to reconnect it. somebody? anybody? help?
Is it still powered on? Turn it on and off again? Restart your computer ?
Beautiful! Bu not ADAT! Like the cute Audient ID14 MKII, got it for 120Eur (second hand)
Can’t find the answer nowhere do you know if you can add more uad plugins after you bought it
If you bought them yea
Does it install on a mac book pro m2? ..my duo capture is out of date as alway
Pretty sure. It works on my m1 Mac
but it’s 24-bit. that‘s +8dB of headroom you‘re missing to 32-bit..
I need some more budget bro
could you please tell me about the plugins does it comes with plugins
Marshall Plexi Classic Amplifier
Live 11 Lite
Melodyne Essential
Ampeg® SVT-VR Classic Bass Amp
LX480 Essentials
Virtual Drummer DEEP
Virtual Bassist DANDY

Do I need to install a driver for the volt 2 on Mac or is it plug and play with logic? All the additional software doesn’t interest me.
Plug and play
@@AdilConstantineMusic thanks mate
um2 take it or leave it
That’s not budget bro.. UM2 is Budget. M Audio is budget.. this is up there with the Scarlett 2i2 which is superb. I like the vintage button tho. Might consider it
With the current inflation, anything under 200
bucks is budget 🤣😂
I was coming to comment this exact thing. Not budget at all.
I don’t know where this dude is where they are this inflated but for 200 you could get the best of the best where I am
Hey man just wanted to ask so if I got an audio interface and I don’t have the Apple lightening adapter, is there a way I can still play my bass I dont mean recording but just playing with the adapter
Correct me if I misunderstood, if you’re wondering if you can just use it as a stand alone device to plugin your bass into and just play and hear your bass without connecting to an iPhone or a computer then the answer is yes. Since it has a built in pre-amp you can do that.
Thanks
Can u use it for streaming
You sure can
Trying to decide between volt 2 and volt 276...
Both are on sale right now btw. And since I’m here I might as well muddy the waters a little more for you and tell you to also consider the SSL 2 or SSL 2+. Similar price point, similar features, made by a legendary company. Tbh all of these interfaces are phenomenal for the price so you really can’t go wrong with any. The 276 will just get you the extra benefit of having the 1176 modeled compressor built in (and the metering is a little better than the volt 2 which might matter to some). If you think you’ll use the compressor feature, it’s a pretty cool feature to have that not many other interfaces do. But you could always use a plugin so I wouldn’t feel too terrible if you decide to be more budget friendly 👍🏻
Been in the same boat eventually went with the motu M4 and have no regrets
How about Samsung ultra type C cable ?
I haven't tried it with android devices but according to their website its Mac, PC, iPad, and iPhone
What kind of usb power bank do you recommend
Anything from Anker is good IMO like this one amzn.to/3ER8zaD
@@AdilConstantineMusic thanks
Does it work on Windows 11? My second Focusrite just died, and I’m looking for a replacement
yeah it does
Yup
Dreaming of a audio interface that has Bluetooth capabilities for my AirPods Max
lol
?? Does your computer not?
Why do I need this?
The only downside is the lack of any extension input option
Insane
Audio interfaces' most important consideration is their latency.
You also get heavy treble coloring that's impossible to tame. They tune these to sound good for the average mic and acoustic guitar wielding singer songwriter. But treble is treble, not clarity. That's why I returned my Volt4 with conviction.
Dayum
Is the volt 1 same quality ??
Yes just less features and inputs
when it is budget, could it be the best? think!
Do they work with Android phones?
I haven’t tried it with Android and according to their website it’s just Mac, PC, iPad, and iPhone
@@AdilConstantineMusic That's not good
Is this good with android
I havent tried it with Android. Looking at their website it doesn't mention Android, it just states "Mac, PC, iPad, and iPhone"
maybe im poor, but also... I don't think the volt 2 is budget.
Tbh there are lot of cheaper interfaces that have most of those "features". The only reason to buy this as a budget interface over any other cheaper inferface with 2in2out is the brand trust and the vintage mode. There's no unique "features" on this interace apart from the vintage mode that distinguishes it from others in its price range.
Does it work on Linux?
According to their website its just Mac, PC, iPad, and iPhone
@@AdilConstantineMusic That is too bad to hear.
Arturo IMO is a better option
But no inserts. Would rather have my umc404hd any day.
Audient or SSL are a lot better interfaces!
Any recommendations on a interface that doesn’t have a delay when recording? Every time I try record I hear myself like 2-4 seconds later pre annoying
I doubt it’s the interface that’s causing that delay. Are you monitoring from interface or DAW? I’ve used VOLT and Scarlett Solo and mBox 2 and none of them have delay if you’re monitoring from device. My guess is you’re monitoring from DAW. Check out my vid on fixing latency, it might help you ruclips.net/video/nzMv2qLcBT4/видео.html
Volt 1 is enough for most, and it's even cheaper with the same features as volt 2
Totally 👍🏼
2k in brazil😂😂😢😢 base salary is abot 1300R$
@@pudifake6848 OMG 😱
how is that budget
i would not recommend UA.. they have invasive software , go with Audient
Motu m2
I thought it's around 100 dollars
Just got mine for 139$
Congrats! New or second hand?
No quick mute button for individual channels on these makes it POINTLESS for streaming.
Yeah for streaming I would recommend a mixer and not an audio interface
Minifuse 2 >>>
I’ve heard good things but I haven’t tried it myself
This does not comes under "budget". At least not mine's
Presonus is a thing. Its cheaper and has more options
Does it work with PS4 or PS5?
Edit: Whoa, $200?! Budget?! 😂🤣 Whoever makes that thing should consider a class that better illustrates their quality. With “budget” attached all I see is a piece of overpriced gear with an on/off switch.
My budget is 30$ bruv
2nd hand Scarlett.
This is not budget
Yeah 200$ is budget.
If you don’t have 200 for a interface means you need to focus on getting more money cause you really need the apollo solo just stack your money
expensive budget audio interface 😂
