Thanks man - surprisingly they treated us well for most of the day, we got mostly consistent soft lighting except for a bit in the morning and later into the evening!
Well, I’m glad you were at least able to get some photos out of it all so that you could use it here. Great vlog! Would love to know your pre-production process going into this shoot.
Absolutely, I was super happy I had so much BTS to share - thanks for watching! Ironically, the Pre-Pro was super rushed... I got confirmation that I was working the gig about a week before the shoot date, and I didn't get a shotlist or call sheet or anything from the producer until a day or two before. Because the gig was through a creative agency that then hired me, I wasn't really in charge of any of the creative processes and so we ended up having to improvise a lot because of the lack of planning. Definitely a great learning experience, I'm looking forward to more commercial work where I can flex those creative muscles more in the Pre-production process!
Thanks man - I realize now I didn't talk much about the gear or the process of this commercial... oops! I lit with a variety of fixtures, including 2 NanLite FS-300Bs, 1 GVM 200B, and a Godox 100D. Most of the day, the lights were all at 5600K.
Thanks - yeah the BTS photos turned out great, I wish I could have them on every shoot! I used the Sigma Art 24-70 m1 lens for the whole shoot - I believe the whole day was shot at f2.8, but there's a chance I stopped down slightly in the direct sunlight. I also took advantage of the internal variable ND for pretty much the whole day as well.
We all love having a BTS photographer on set! The dealership shoots are always fast and "good enough". Great Vlog!
@@PDMokry yessir, wish I could bring someone for BTS on every shoot!
Haha yep, definitely experienced that on this shoot. Thanks so much for watching!
Way to get it done. It’s always easier working with a capable team.
Absolutely - I'd love to bring this crew on every job I work, just glad this project had the budget for it!
Great vlog i can only imagine the struggle with those windows.

The winter in the midwest really makes everything so much harder to shoot. Great work!!
Haha it really does - didn't even mention the shorter days with less sunlight but that was a factor too!
Nice!!
Thanks!
Nice stuff. Subscribed.
Thanks so much - I appreciate it!
