    Carn, last two videos I watched were excellent. That camp you setup with the raised bed looked so inviting. I love watching you. The gear you use and even the clothes you wear. Always very interesting. The food you cook too. Ah, to be younger again and know what I know now. I’ve done a lot of camping over the years, but not like what you’ve done. That’s what I really would’ve liked. I love the area you camp in too. Somewhat rugged, rocks, streams, really cool. Keep trekking, My Friend. Remember, we grow too soon old, and too late smart! See you in the next video. 😊👍⛺️

      Yes, back to our roots, brother, back to nature, and back to the Ital food. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m completely vegan. Bushcraft is the name applied to the Bushman of the Kalahari and of Australia who taught the European explorers their knowledge of the wilderness and that’s where the name Bushcraft comes from. Every culture has Indigenous skills but the bushman are the oldest people on earth and therefore the oldest skills. We can all learn from them. They just need the basics and they’re incredibly happy people. Unfortunately, we complicate our lives too much.

      Correct, I did not filter the coffee, because 99% of the grounds stay on the bottom as long as you let it settle, and then pour slowly (I poured a little fast that time). I only got a couple of grounds in my mouth with the whole pot because I grind it fine, as with espresso. Cheers! ☕

      Synthetics are so out of place, yet incredibly useful.
      I use synthetics mostly in the summer because they are ultralight. But then again, one can just carry a Haversack, blanket, a belt kit, a knife, some flour and oats into the Woods and be good to go, ultralight Bushcraft style.

    May I ask if you are camping wild in the US or Canada, would you recommend to carry a concealed weapon for safety ?

    • @TheLoreofBushcraft
      @TheLoreofBushcraft  3 месяца назад

      Hello, I'm presently in the us. I never carried weapons wherever I have been in the wilderness. firearms were illegal when I was in the UK, and they are illegal in any state or national park. I suppose if I was in Alaska, (bear spray) the Arctic (rifle)I would need a firearm to protect me from polar bears since they are the only bear that hunts humans. So now I do not recommend a concealed carry. But don’t take my word for it do what you feel you need to do to protect yourself. I choose differently.

Its illegal also in China to carry weapons, but I have a very sharp axe, usually that's more than enough. Anyway, lots of envy !!
