VERY NICE STACK MY FRIEND! I ordered my very first kg a little while ago. I absolutely love anything Johnson Matthey. My very first 10 oz bar was an absolutely stunning vintage bar that is still in immaculate condition even after all these years it looks like it’s brand new. It’s my favorite bar out of all of them.
due to degree of annealing the speed at which molted metal cools affects it's volume slightly. red hot copper or silver that is quenched in water will be slightly softer with less contraction and be slightly bigger , than a bar that cools slowly . were as steel/iron that is quenched in water will contract more and be harder and slightly smaller than a bar that cools slowly

Instead, when they are piled on top of one another and moved around by trucks and pallets, they indent when bumped about, a lot of compiled weight on top of one another clanging occasionally front to back, side to side. It is why you have one from the bottom of the pile that did and another from the top of the pile that didn't, and also why they have slight dings on the sides nearly always.
Great video , kilo bars are awesome if you can buy them, easier to store and the premium isn't as painful. In the PM's world size does matter in most cases.✌

240 oz and you only have 6 ways to divide it. Are you hoping to trade it for cash one day? Problem with bars is they are only really good for trading in cash. Further more, if the price of silver up you would almost bet the price of cash is down. So not much doing. Maybe you can make fractional out of it one day. To big to barter with and hard to find someone willing to pay that much all at once. Sill a decent stack.
I need those bars! I have a kilo Koala 2021 coin 🐨. But I wonder how a 1 kilo bar will feel? I do have a 100 ounce bar short and very chunky. But I need kilo bars.
Kilo coins sound pretty nice. I bet it comes in a plastic capsule, right? there's nothing like feeling the texture of a silver bar in your bare hands, IMO. I hope you get one someday ;)

Cheapest bars in EU are coin bars. They have no serial and have some monetary value, for example Fiji kilo bar is a "10 dollar" bar. They are the best for me because they are the cheapest, because they have way less tax than other bars. That being said, kilo coins are usually cheaper too than "traditional" silver bars (those that have serials). So it's only government minted coins and coin bars for me.
New rule: If a silver bar is smaller than my phone, I throw it back. lol Love the kilo bars. 10oz is too small. 100oz is too big. Kilo is just right. #SizeMatters
silvertown stuff looks like one big milk spot. least fav. i traded mine off for something more shiny. i guess it all looks the same when the safe is closed.... btw. the outer part of the scale reads KG. that scale isn't that accurate.

I do have an electronic scale that measures in troy ounces, but it does not register kilos unfortunately. And regarding pounds - I would be the first in line to have USA begin to use the metric scale!

Here in NY state, if you spend over $1,000.00 on bullion then there is no tax, so I wait to buy when I have a $1000.00 or more to order.

Just an FYI, you don't have to do any lb/kg conversions. Your scale is graduated for both, looks like it's out of calibration by about 4%.

Those are reading 950 grams and are not 1000 grams kilo? What a ripoff. come to find out, I think it's your scale that is not perfect in measuring.
