I am convinced The Mandalorian takes place in a Bethesda RPG. Though I would like to mention that he is a bounty hunter his job is literally to go to a place and find a person.

When you think about it, alot of the goals for those movies were to go traveling, probably to show off the different aliens in those galaxy and show that the conflict isn't just in areas that look like humans
Would've been nice of they had shown more non-humanoid sentience throughout the series though. The whole "hundreds of sentient species from all corners of the galaxy arriving at the same evolutionary contrivance as humans" shtick is old and overused. Humans in funny hats are all well and good, but I'd like to see a sentient shellfish encased in a steel bathysphere struggle to use a shoddy text-to-speach program to communicate with the most anatomically improbable creature they've ever seen; a human. Our brains are in our heads man! We've got like 5 permanent off-buttons in really inconvenient places, breathe through shoddily retrofitted gills still connected to our digestive systems (with all of the problems that entails), only one heart despite having a redundant kidney and lung, we use our ears for balance just as much as hearing, and the core of our endoskeletons are a stack of bones originally designed to be horizontal, and on an evolutionary scale basically just rotated 90° over night (with all the issues that brings). I'd bet money that the most humanoid features on most other sentient species are hands and (possibly) binocular vision, but even that could be different.
