Awesome video, unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this for the average novice as if you mess-up the APIX drivers this could result in the head unit being bricked. Also you need to ensure as mentioned your calculating the correct CAFD files and changing what’s required as if not you can end up with an incorrect SVT tree. This is a software manipulation and always recommended if the budget persists to upgrade to a full ID6 HU but using CarPlay and the navigation will be sufficient with the 2GB EVO’s as long as the navigation isn’t used for 5+ hours the CarPlay will be fine with ID6 and Fullscreen.
Great video. But anyone trying this out, just watch out by changing the date you wont always calculate into an nbt2 unit, you might calculate to an entrynav2. Next with this method the the internal navi is not stable and will result into constant reboots due to only 2gb ram instead of 4gb which is required for id5/6.
I think that Black screen fix working only with with ID3 (apix1, 8,5v) screen. I tried that on ID4 (APIX1 12v) screen and dont help me with occasionally black screen. Do you have a solution for that? ;) Thanks you.

What about the ever-repeated myth of staying with 1803? Above this software, apparently the unit becomes unstable and I restart more often
Yes it is unstable, using the internal nav is not recommended the command does not work, you still end up with random black screens
Hello, Does this work on NBT EVO_E ?
Yes, it does
@@navi4bimmer do you have a mail or website where i can reach out to explain it?
