The people whining about graphics or gameplay have clearly not played payday 2 or got wrecked continuously there.Its not for you guys who are looking for cyberpunk graphics with a masterpiece story for your chill mood...this game is very hardcore and knows It's playerbase and all the payday fans are more than excited for this including myself

This is a showcase of their game and they give us NPC walking right through each other along with graphics that can confuse someone who thinks this is the first game

This is what, the 3rd time people are saying a sequel is just a remaster/DLC? 😅 First Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, then Spider-Man 2, and now this game?
If you're looking for more innovation than simply better-looking graphics, then Nintendo games are the way to go. But with that said, this game may have have som distinct quality that won't be apparent until playing the game, so it's worth waiting for the reviews :)

Honestly not sure why this didn't do expansion to PD2, because this doesn't look very different to be giving up years of content.
They are entirely different engines. PD and PD2 run on Diesel engine, very archaic and buggy. PD3 runs on Unreal Engine 4 and the have plans to upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 by the end of next year. Unreal allows them to do crossplay and cross-progression too, so it's a win for everybody.
Payday 3 also has a significantly better ai and gameplay loop compared to 2, the beta was great

That’s not the same Engine, the first 2 paydays were made on a 20 year old racing game engine, Payday 3 is made on Unreal Engine 4 and post-launch they want to upgrade it to unreal engine 5
