Old gen fifa games were sweaty and unrealistic but they were at least attacking . On new gen if you play against a non ratty player who wants to play good football it’s great but that’s so rare. What actually ends up happening is it’s just a slow sweaty and unrealistic game now lol not even attacking anymore

They're probably kids who started watching after 2022 and now think abusing mechanics and spamming trivelas and cutbacks means you're good at the game. They 're VERY new to football and so they lack the ability to spot good gameplay because they don't what that looks like - they have no understanding of passing, making runs, retaining possession, being creative,......
Also it's hilarious how people actually think this is even a semi-realistic representation of what the sport is in real life. It's actually an arcade game with extremely good graphics...it belongs to the same genre as supermario or asphalt 9 - LITERALLY. It should be in an arcade machine. You should pay like a dollar to play it every time you want to kill a few minutes - that's how laughable this 'game' is.
You spoke the truth. I play this game for 20 years, I start with UT 2012-2014 and every year we got some issues, but this year is pure pain. I can't tell why, but its just pure RNG. I never was a pro gamer, but I was not bad at all and its okay to lose against good players, but this year is pure and endless pain. My players feel like rocks sometimes and in the next game, its a complete different game... that sucks so hard. What gets me the most is, that I always know what will happens next and I can't do anything against it. I just can't. People don't understand, what these feelings are... we love football, there are no other games you can play, so you are stuck on EA and you need to get through the same pain year for year. You can't stop, cuz you love football and every time you think you got the game, another RNG fucks you up. I feel you in every word. Best time in UT for me was around FIFA 14 to 17, I loved the 4321 with Musa, Ibarbo and Doumbia up front. No R1/RB dribbling, no shitty cutbacks, no RNG every time, just fun, offensive football and sick games. Why they destroyed it so much? I dunno...

I remember in the golden days i was playing silver teams in Div 1 and having so much fun, winning against top OP meta teams was so enjoyable. Because the game was heavily based on skill, not anymore. Just like Nick said i see myself loosing against brain dead bots scoring 2 goals with 1 shot and having less then 30% possession. Meanwhile i have 15 shots 75% of them on target +70 possession and loose 2-1. Also when i'm leading up to 2 goals my players always start to act dumb and heavy. Loosing balls and passes are random, loosing tackles ect .. This game is pure torture you need to switch your mentality and accept the fact that this game has become pay 2 win and favors a lot brain dead people who knows nothing about football but spends tons of money. If we don't react properly as a community EA will make this game worse every year, this is only the beginning. And seeing all these trolls within the community i have little to no hope for the future of this game.
Yeah I’ve been playing fut since fifa 12 and I really miss those days of having 81 rated players at this time of the year and your team is still meta. After this year I might just check out of fifa completely it’s the worst one by far and the constant promos and 2000-4000 point packs have truly fucked this game mode beyond belief.

I’ve played quite a bit of rivals over the last couple of days. Yesterday was to get the 7 wins n today was to get the 7 wins out of the way for the coming week. As much as EA and their bullshit over the last 12 years has infuriated me, the player base in general has too. In 12 games of rivals I had at least half of those opponents quit at a draw where I’ve come back in the game from down 1 or 2 goals. It’s pathetic that ea haven’t sorted this shit out. The more it was happening the last few days, the more it angered me. Happened a tonne in champs too over the last couple of weekends because I was using the 99 game loan vvd. People are so fkn weird, deliberately quitting just so my vvd runs out quicker. Ik this cuz it was happening way more than usual. After playing this game for 12+ years, I could genuinely write a book about the long history of this company/games’ problems. Sorry for the long af comment. Game had me frustrated today lol

If I am done with my wins I usually score a goal on myself and give ppl the win. Back in the day ppl would do that a lot help the other fifa community out, now is so toxic even rivals I was a head on the match I never celebrated after I scored, the guy goes ahead ties the match celebrates and quits and send me a message saying you like that. I was like dude what the heck is happening is a FREAKING GAME 😂
10:40 felt that so much its crazy, everytime i start this game, i go into a match and get pissed off within the first 20 ingame mins due to the stupid shit happening constantly, the amount of open goal misses is more so far this year compared to all last year no joke

i dont know how long the development cycle is for a game like fifa which comes out every year, if the same team works for every title, ofc they will ship a sub-par version of the product because of tight deadlines, that's why i think they don't get fired, you cannot find people good enough to make the game good in such a short period of time, or if you find them they'll ask for too much money, and god forbid EA can't have that

In the beginning I had good pack luck but as time went on and I didn’t buy any fc points, I haven’t had a good pack pull in almost 2 months. Ea are trying really hard to get me to buy fc points. There has to be some sort of list or tracking system ea uses for players. I am on the verge of quitting the game. The only thing that’s kept me playing this long is that I just love football and want to play a football game. But I won’t spend a dollar on this shit. The way the whole system is built is just so dark and sickening, you either pay up or you can’t compete in this game. Wasn’t enough to milk 100 dollars from people

And we all know what that is. Handicapping/DDA. Literally had a game where my Alisson didn’t use his hands and the other Alisson saved 10 point blank shots in the first half alone! Luckily I pulled away in the second half but they do that to keep people in games. Otherwise I’d be up 3-0 and he’d rage quit in the first 20 but that’s not enough for EA.

I'm in div 7 on purpose so i'm better then most people there, most games i create the most and best chances, but either my attackers are too slow to react, or his gk saves every fucking thing, meanwhile my opponent got 2 chances whole game, and scores both of them cause my gk sucks. Yesterday though, my opponent was a great player and dominated me, and my gk was insane saved anything, i got 3 chances whole game and scored 2 and won 2-1... I can't anymore i gonna delete the game, enough is enough

I’m in a fight for my life to get 9 wins… 9 WINS!?! POTM Mbappe was meant to be too expensive for most people to afford. WHY AM I FACING HIM EVERY GAME?! I’m not a skiller or dribbler. Another thing is the community where half of the players goal is to make their opponents gaming experience as miserable as possible. For example I played a 5 back rat cutting back every play and he went up 4-0 but I needed a goal with the Haaland for the obj. In the 90th minute he’s up 5-0 and I am through on goal and he takes a red card than let me get my goal with Haaland for the obj. Crazy.
This is genuinely the worst fifa that has been released in recent years. The inconsistency is the only consistent thing in this game. The meta this year is to run to the byline and press x whilst your #9 patiently waits in the box, UNMARKED, whilst you could have two great CB’s with 90+ defending stats that just won’t mark up. Anyone can beat you whether they only started playing the game about a week ago or if they’re a fucking dog. The game decides who wins and who loses. The game doesn’t need basic football IQ anymore u just need to rely on the current meta + RNG. And the funny thing is, I’ll still buy EAFC 25.

Another thing I find utterly disgusting is that if you finesse with a player who doesn't have the triat, inside the box or outside, Most of the time the player is missing. And the constant de javu abusing the cutbacks made me put my foot down and play the game twice a week. I played weekend league once since the game started and never been happier 😂

i used to play a game called fifa online 3, it was made by EA, but for some specific servers, and well they had a rule where if you pass within defenders for a while you’ll get something called troll points(which is like a warning) and if you keep on doing it, you’ll get forfeited, and the opponent wins the match. i mean this is not what official football rules say, but i mean to have a good game you gotta bring back such stuff…
I feel the same way as you. Im a calm preson as well, but this years Store Pack FC 24 drives me crazy. Everything in this game is wrong. The gameplay, the trading, the buggy, laggy client on PC. 5 backs every game, cutbacks after cutbacks. Its just unplayable at this point. I'm leading by 3 goals, and suddenly DDA kicks in, my players become literal food trucks, and enemy 700 coins thrashcan RW is running, dribbling, and shooting like a prime Dinho+R9+Mbappe combined. If the game wants to give the enemy a goal, you will 100% get scored. Literally.cant.do.anything.. On previous fifas, I was like a ~16 wins type player. This year, I feel like its predetermined if i win or lose when I press the advance button. And yeah.. One of my friends has 10mil team, I did a 19-1 wl on his account. The gameplay experience between playing with my rtg team, and his p2w team is like fking Grand Canyon. His Mbappe cannot be pushed, kicked, etc. He gets the ball, he scores. Furiating.. This game is not about fun anymore. Its all about fulfilling ppls gambling addiction. Btw I love your content, watching on a daily basis, but I think you should consider changing it a little bit. As an original player of this game, and I mean the late 90s! Nick is absolutely right, its demise has been staggering. There’s no original play styles,you know what you’re in for every game and it’s wank!!! Same formation same tactics same players. Problem is EA know the game is awful but do not give one shit, promote the fuck out of the game then turn into ghosts the second it’s released, leaving us all to fight over the mess. I skipped out on FIFA from 17-23, got the EA Play trial and got sunken cost fallacy-ed. Couldn’t just leave my ultimate team so I bought it. Haven’t spent a dime since but definitely invested a lot of time to learn the game and get to Div 6. tried WL for the first time, made finals and won 11. coasted against really weak opponents in retrospect. Since then, I’ve won once, with 30 or 40 draws or losses. I’m baffled. I hit the rat wall. Every game is the same. I packed Figo and Desially a while back through SBCs, they are no match for the same 5mil+ squads. Can’t win any headers against VVD, can’t pass accurately enough or find space to escape 71 depth press from 100 pace high/high wingers, can’t get past CDM Mabbpe, I’m going insane. Tried upgrading to meta players through icon SBCs, got absolutely garbage and dupe after dupe. I sold off my bench and am stuck with the crap 87-90 untradeable squad. The only solution is to buy fifa points and rip their packs. Why. Why. Why. I thought the grind would be worth it. All that fodder would turn to gold. That you could learn how to outplay someone. “Here’s some new meta tactics since the patch guys - well 71 depth is still broken but here’s a 20 step program you need to do in order beat it (if your lucky). These days, I only play career mode on Fifa 23. So happy I didn't buy this edition of "EA FC" and won't be buying another edition until EA fixes their crap, which they won't, of course. im a rank 4-5 champs player and rarely miss those chances in the box because of precision shooting. i've found precision shooting more rewarding because when i miss i know its my fault. im not saying that it doesn't have its moments of unexplainable misses, but 97% of those shots in the box will go in with precision shooting. most of my losses in champs are due to shocking defending, but precision shooting has been the wave this year

Shooting should be hard, in real life it's hard. It's too easy to score all things considered, which is why average games have 7/8/9 goals which is super rare irl

I uninstalled FC 24 at the beginning of October. I had been a FUT player since 2011. This game is truly terrible. First year I’ve genuinely wished I could have a refund it’s that bad.
The passing is garbage too but not many people talk about that. Probably cus not many play the passing game, also probably because passing is ridiculous. In the attacking third of the pitch, I tapped pass to my player closest to me at my 6 o,clock, but somehow the ball whizzes all the way back to my goal keeper at 7 to 8 o,clock, gets intercepted by opposition striker and game over at 89th minute
Not buying the past 2 FIFA's is the best decision i've made. These companies don't respect us nor do they care. Even small things like taking out the stadium practice arena's which were present in FIFA 2008 until like 2014-15 says a lot. Best case scenario is a small company releasing a low quality but fun free-to-play football game and FIFA fans jumping ship. The solution is easy, but carrying it out is very difficult.
The games are just slowly getting objectively worse in every way. Menus are a mess, FUT is the only finished mode & the gameplay keeps turning into more of a convoluted mess of exploits and cheap tactics by the year. One day a company who really wants to make a football simulation will come and run EAs bullshit excuse for one out of stores.
personally for me, its not just the game play but the lag of being on the west coast of the united states. It's actually unplayable and doesn't allow me to play anything online, so in reality Ultimate team is just a gamemode of squadbattles
this is the first FIFA that I'm going to abandon in december since I played the first FUT in 2012. It is so sad, but it's affecting me mentally. I'll probably finish Zidane (one squad left), play Champions, lose stupid games against noobs / 5-back defenders and LW/RW doing cutbacks, and then finally retire. I play 4-1-2-1-2 narrow because I like playing FOOTBALL, but it's so annoying, the scripting is so evident, balls traspassing the foots and the heads of my defenders, tue cutback passes from the wings are impossible to intercept... I'm not even getting angry right now, in those particular games I know I'm going to lose as soon as I see 3 consecutive shoots to the crossbar from my Dalglish with 97 positioning and 99 finishing, I know I've already lost and then I just laugh with the scripting. So sad 😔
I understand the pain. I’ve done every icon pack sbc that has been released and still yet to pack one over 100k. Almost every player I come up against has at least 1 elite icon if not 2 or 3. Becomes a very difficult game when you’re playing people who auto tackle, auto block, auto intercept etc etc.
I've never quit a UT so early, they did nothing for months about gameplay, gave up in mid/late October. all that money they saved from not getting the fifa license, where tf did it go. the community dumps 100s of good ideas on ea every week and they don't follow any of them. its unbelievable

You spoke the truth. I play this game for 20 years, I start with UT 2012-2014 and every year we got some issues, but this year is pure pain. I can't tell why, but its just pure RNG. I never was a pro gamer, but I was not bad at all and its okay to lose against good players, but this year is pure and endless pain. My players feel like rocks sometimes and in the next game, its a complete different game... that sucks so hard.
What gets me the most is, that I always know what will happens next and I can't do anything against it. I just can't. People don't understand, what these feelings are... we love football, there are no other games you can play, so you are stuck on EA and you need to get through the same pain year for year. You can't stop, cuz you love football and every time you think you got the game, another RNG fucks you up.

I remember in the golden days i was playing silver teams in Div 1 and having so much fun, winning against top OP meta teams was so enjoyable. Because the game was heavily based on skill, not anymore. Just like Nick said i see myself loosing against brain dead bots scoring 2 goals with 1 shot and having less then 30% possession. Meanwhile i have 15 shots 75% of them on target +70 possession and loose 2-1. Also when i'm leading up to 2 goals my players always start to act dumb and heavy. Loosing balls and passes are random, loosing tackles ect ..
This game is pure torture you need to switch your mentality and accept the fact that this game has become pay 2 win and favors a lot brain dead people who knows nothing about football but spends tons of money. If we don't react properly as a community EA will make this game worse every year, this is only the beginning. And seeing all these trolls within the community i have little to no hope for the future of this game.
Yeah I’ve been playing fut since fifa 12 and I really miss those days of having 81 rated players at this time of the year and your team is still meta. After this year I might just check out of fifa completely it’s the worst one by far and the constant promos and 2000-4000 point packs have truly fucked this game mode beyond belief.

I’ve played quite a bit of rivals over the last couple of days. Yesterday was to get the 7 wins n today was to get the 7 wins out of the way for the coming week. As much as EA and their bullshit over the last 12 years has infuriated me, the player base in general has too. In 12 games of rivals I had at least half of those opponents quit at a draw where I’ve come back in the game from down 1 or 2 goals. It’s pathetic that ea haven’t sorted this shit out. The more it was happening the last few days, the more it angered me. Happened a tonne in champs too over the last couple of weekends because I was using the 99 game loan vvd. People are so fkn weird, deliberately quitting just so my vvd runs out quicker. Ik this cuz it was happening way more than usual. After playing this game for 12+ years, I could genuinely write a book about the long history of this company/games’ problems. Sorry for the long af comment. Game had me frustrated today lol

In the beginning I had good pack luck but as time went on and I didn’t buy any fc points, I haven’t had a good pack pull in almost 2 months. Ea are trying really hard to get me to buy fc points. There has to be some sort of list or tracking system ea uses for players. I am on the verge of quitting the game. The only thing that’s kept me playing this long is that I just love football and want to play a football game. But I won’t spend a dollar on this shit. The way the whole system is built is just so dark and sickening, you either pay up or you can’t compete in this game. Wasn’t enough to milk 100 dollars from people

And we all know what that is. Handicapping/DDA. Literally had a game where my Alisson didn’t use his hands and the other Alisson saved 10 point blank shots in the first half alone! Luckily I pulled away in the second half but they do that to keep people in games. Otherwise I’d be up 3-0 and he’d rage quit in the first 20 but that’s not enough for EA.

Yesterday though, my opponent was a great player and dominated me, and my gk was insane saved anything, i got 3 chances whole game and scored 2 and won 2-1... For example I played a 5 back rat cutting back every play and he went up 4-0 but I needed a goal with the Haaland for the obj. This is genuinely the worst fifa that has been released in recent years. The inconsistency is the only consistent thing in this game. The meta this year is to run to the byline and press x whilst your #9 patiently waits in the box, UNMARKED, whilst you could have two great CB’s with 90+ defending stats that just won’t mark up. Anyone can beat you whether they only started playing the game about a week ago or if they’re a fucking dog. The game decides who wins and who loses. The game doesn’t need basic football IQ anymore u just need to rely on the current meta + RNG. And the funny thing is, I’ll still buy EAFC 25.

i used to play a game called fifa online 3, it was made by EA, but for some specific servers, and well they had a rule where if you pass within defenders for a while you’ll get something called troll points(which is like a warning) and if you keep on doing it, you’ll get forfeited, and the opponent wins the match. i mean this is not what official football rules say, but i mean to have a good game you gotta bring back such stuff…

I'm leading by 3 goals, and suddenly DDA kicks in, my players become literal food trucks, and enemy 700 coins thrashcan RW is running, dribbling, and shooting like a prime Dinho+R9+Mbappe combined. If the game wants to give the enemy a goal, you will 100% get scored. Literally.cant.do.anything.. On previous fifas, I was like a ~16 wins type player. This year, I feel like its predetermined if i win or lose when I press the advance button. And yeah.. One of my friends has 10mil team, I did a 19-1 wl on his account. The gameplay experience between playing with my rtg team, and his p2w team is like fking Grand Canyon. His Mbappe cannot be pushed, kicked, etc. He gets the ball, he scores. Furiating.. This game is not about fun anymore. Its all about fulfilling ppls gambling addiction.

As an original player of this game, and I mean the late 90s! Nick is absolutely right, its demise has been staggering. There’s no original play styles,you know what you’re in for every game and it’s wank!!! Same formation same tactics same players. I skipped out on FIFA from 17-23, got the EA Play trial and got sunken cost fallacy-ed. Couldn’t just leave my ultimate team so I bought it.
Haven’t spent a dime since but definitely invested a lot of time to learn the game and get to Div 6. tried WL for the first time, made finals and won 11. coasted against really weak opponents in retrospect.
Since then, I’ve won once, with 30 or 40 draws or losses. I’m baffled. I hit the rat wall. Every game is the same. I packed Figo and Desially a while back through SBCs, they are no match for the same 5mil+ squads.
Can’t win any headers against VVD, can’t pass accurately enough or find space to escape 71 depth press from 100 pace high/high wingers, can’t get past CDM Mabbpe, I’m going insane.
Tried upgrading to meta players through icon SBCs, got absolutely garbage and dupe after dupe. I sold off my bench and am stuck with the crap 87-90 untradeable squad.

im a rank 4-5 champs player and rarely miss those chances in the box because of precision shooting. i've found precision shooting more rewarding because when i miss i know its my fault. im not saying that it doesn't have its moments of unexplainable misses, but 97% of those shots in the box will go in with precision shooting. most of my losses in champs are due to shocking defending, but precision shooting has been the wave this year
Yeah but we shouldn't have to do that, especially when it's a shot my grandma could score. We shouldn't have to adapt to.this terrible gameplay just because ea are lazy.

Shooting should be hard, in real life it's hard. It's too easy to score all things considered, which is why average games have 7/8/9 goals which is super rare irl

Finesse+ and just hold the button from any angle in the box the only thing that made finishing consistent for me 🙃
The crybabies got that removed too. It was too hard to have to manually defend finesse angles

I felt really good knowing that I am not crazy. Seeing a pro like Nick ranting and vexing, it means I am not crazy after all. EA FC 24 makes me feel like I am a social experiment, I swear. Thank God I am not the only one experiencing the nonesense in the game
Left stick dribbling was way too overpowered on previous fifas. Spamming the analogue stick left and right like a fucking wasp is the most unrealistic thing I’ve ever seen

I uninstalled FC 24 at the beginning of October. I had been a FUT player since 2011. This game is truly terrible.

The passing is garbage too but not many people talk about that. Probably cus not many play the passing game, also probably because passing is ridiculous. In the attacking third of the pitch, I tapped pass to my player closest to me at my 6 o,clock, but somehow the ball whizzes all the way back to my goal keeper at 7 to 8 o,clock, gets intercepted by opposition striker and game over at 89th minute
Not buying the past 2 FIFA's is the best decision i've made. These companies don't respect us nor do they care. Even small things like taking out the stadium practice arena's which were present in FIFA 2008 until like 2014-15 says a lot. Best case scenario is a small company releasing a low quality but fun free-to-play football game and FIFA fans jumping ship. The solution is easy, but carrying it out is very difficult.
The games are just slowly getting objectively worse in every way. Menus are a mess, FUT is the only finished mode & the gameplay keeps turning into more of a convoluted mess of exploits and cheap tactics by the year. One day a company who really wants to make a football simulation will come and run EAs bullshit excuse for one out of stores.
personally for me, its not just the game play but the lag of being on the west coast of the united states. It's actually unplayable and doesn't allow me to play anything online, so in reality Ultimate team is just a gamemode of squadbattles

this is the first FIFA that I'm going to abandon in december since I played the first FUT in 2012. It is so sad, but it's affecting me mentally. I'll probably finish Zidane (one squad left), play Champions, lose stupid games against noobs / 5-back defenders and LW/RW doing cutbacks, and then finally retire. I play 4-1-2-1-2 narrow because I like playing FOOTBALL, but it's so annoying, the scripting is so evident, balls traspassing the foots and the heads of my defenders, tue cutback passes from the wings are impossible to intercept...
I'm not even getting angry right now, in those particular games I know I'm going to lose as soon as I see 3 consecutive shoots to the crossbar from my Dalglish with 97 positioning and 99 finishing, I know I've already lost and then I just laugh with the scripting. So sad 😔

I understand the pain. I’ve done every icon pack sbc that has been released and still yet to pack one over 100k. Almost every player I come up against has at least 1 elite icon if not 2 or 3. Becomes a very difficult game when you’re playing people who auto tackle, auto block, auto intercept etc etc.

I've never quit a UT so early, they did nothing for months about gameplay, gave up in mid/late October. all that money they saved from not getting the fifa license, where tf did it go. the community dumps 100s of good ideas on ea every week and they don't follow any of them. its unbelievable
I watch Nick everyday and he is as toxic as the rest of the community. When he is winning he is toxic asf but when he is losing he is constantly crying about the game when other RUclipsrs can constantly go 20-0 or 19-1. Maybe just adapt and be happy you’re making money from this game. Nothing is going to change this year.
