Epic interview on " the Urban Gardener!" Loved it James!
@@TheWickerShireProject could you share a link to that interview? I'd love to see it!
@@garfielda34 I can send the link via email. This is James channel not mine to post on. I'll check your about page and send it direct. Great interview!
Hey question.i bought dwarf plantain tree,Florida peach tree, Georgia peach tree,an a banana tree, can I grow these outside in Connecticut?
Very informative and helpful. Thank you!! 👍🏼
Great advice James. Like Grandpa said, learn from others mistakes. You don’t have time to make them all yourself
Doesn’t have to be learning from grandpa only but I do agree.
@@Maxim.Teleguz🤦🏻♂️
Well said
@@mybrotherskeeper111 👀😑🤷♂️
I totally agree. I always like to share what I do in my garden. That way others can learn from MY ERRORS, as well as from my successes.
After some six decades of farming/gardening I have come to know that there are two last frost dates. There is the average last frost date, and then there is the real last frost date. The real last frost date is usually just a few days after we put the transplants into the garden. 😟
Haha! So true!
You are a great teacher. I find that I also like that you speak quickly, succinctly. THANK YOU.
❤❤❤❤❤ - I love Tuck!! Thanks for letting James garden with you!!
Gardeners including myself can’t wait to get their crops in the ground. I have made that mistake before many times but thanks to you and Tuck I’m not going to make it anymore!! We love the Little Boss!!❤
Great tips as always. I want my stems to be strong as the boss, TUCk. 1000’s of hearts for the King ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Love you guys.
The way you know plants as living beings is impressive.
Omg like now it’s pouring rain , i hope my plants survive if not huge loss.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤love you tuck. Update the plants are absolutely thriving, there were no losses.😊
Mr Tuck is the guardian of the garden. 💕💕💕
Wow! You get me so excited about gardening. I went back to your first videos to watch from the beginning. You have improved so much since the beginning. I love your smile and enthusiasm. I 💕 little Tuck also. Keep up the good work. Jean. PS. I watched your video where you ate the hot pepper. Don’t damage your vocal cords! You have much more to teach us. Happy Gardening
I forgot stop myself from setting seedlings out too early. Here in Indiana. It’s 68° one day and 28° the next. Geez. Hugs Tuck
i’m in indy too😅 this weather is crappppppp
Hate hardening off 😒.....love Tuck and glad he's doing well ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎
I hate it too. It's such a big production, especially when you've got a lot of seedlings.
I tried winter sowing some things this year, with the hopes that I won't have to spend forever dragging trays of plants in & out of the house constantly. Wish me luck! 😂
I'm so excited to start to grow my own food. I want to be able to supply all my food somehow, I got my first stems of sweet potato in water as well as pationfruit vine.
Small seedling now at the big box stores is $6 !!!! Really smart to start from seed and SAVE seeds each year.
Tuck front and center is always a great start to my day!
A great video James; I always want to transplant too early too but have used your tips over the years to try to save them! Peas under plastic and survived our freezing temps in northern NJ this past week. Much thanks and glad to see Tuck looking so well!
I wish I had a green house, been thinking of buying windows and just try building my own . Thank you for all your wonderful help, my garden is getting better each year , bigger also lol
Try building a relatively low raised bed, maybe 12x12 or so, then add hoops & plastic. Much easier than a full build with windows. Hoop green houses are easy, much cheaper, can be moved about as your plants grow.
I know in my area there are towns that do spring bulk pickups, it’s a great way to get old windows, sometimes pots with soil, etc. Last year someone threw out a bunch of tulips in the pots, with soil, because the flowers died. I can tell you they are coming up in my garden. Get creative when you see other things being thrown out, decent buckets or planters, 2x4s, etc. Trex decking makes great raised beds.
This winter ❄ was the warmest in hundred of years in Canada 🇨🇦❤❤🪻🐞🐞❤❤
Yeah Arizona got it...Thanks 😊
As a new gardener, I appreciate all your advice! I appreciate little Tuck as well 🐾
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Tuck is looking great! Looking forward to another season of you two in the garden! 😊
Let’s Gooo!!! 🐕😁❤️

Let’s Gooo!!! 😁🐕❤️
Love your gardening advice and love Tuck!❤❤❤ my biggest problem is still overwatering. I hover over my plants like a mother hen.
Ugh the rain in jersey today!!!!!
I planted out too early last year. Will never make that mistake again
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I love Tuck!!!!
I love Tuck. I have three Yorkies myself. I love watching him eat fresh vegetables from your garden.
❤ Great teaching and encouragement!
Happy to see Tuck on the job! ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm in zone 5B and just beginning the seed germination phase indoors. We're getting 10 in of snow right now
Dang! Brrrr I already have my garden in at zone 8b our summer down here is brutal on our gardens so we do better starting in feb-June then august to December. I bet your able to start in may grow thru late September ?
@@danielleterry2331 so basically I can get my cold weathers in probably early may but nothing else can go in until the very last week of May or actually June 1st and then everything rounds out by the end of October
Same here.....just sprouted some eggplant and peppers and looking out at about 3 inches of snow in zone 5B. Snow was light and fluffy and looked really pretty yesterday. Have to keep remembering that it's just March but we've had lots of days in the 50's. Happy gardening 😊
I really enjoyed your interview with Enoch on the urban gardener channel today
❤good boy tuck!
❤❤❤❤Love your videos and especially love seeing Tuck!Peace and love always from Ohio!❤❤❤❤
Great to know about plants flowering my peppers done this I know why now thanks!!!
Thank you as always I absolutely love your videos and your garden. I think you should come out and help me set my spring garden up for all my summer crops. I would be happy to have you here. I have a guest room and I’m in sunny California. Lol
Thank you so much James for all the tips. Much much love for Tuck 🐶💕❤️
Great video. So many videos tell how to fix leggy plants. The easiest way to fix leggy plants is to not let them get leggy to start with. Your advice on lowering the lights is spot on. Turning off heat mats as soon as seeds start spouting is another good one. Tuck is such a handsome little feller ❤happy gardening to all
Thanks for all this great information. Love Tuck❤❤❤❤❤!!!
So many great seedlings, Thanks for the advice.
Thank you ,I always learn tons from you❤

You are a Plant Guru!! I can’t help it…. I hate hardening off my plant babies! Running pots and trays in and out of the house for days is a pain!!! I do it but…. I don’t like it! 😂😂😂 Thanks for the great info!! 😀
Thank you
Good stuff. ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤Love to you and tuck 😊
❤🧡💛💚💙💜❤💛💛💚💙💜 Love you Tuck!! Thank you for sharing this information. This has helped me understand some of my mistakes. It is taking a long time to figure out my garden. I live in zone 10A in Florida. This has to be one of the weirdest zones ever. LOL. Thank you for sharing. See you in the next one.
Enjoyed the tips! Hey there Tuck!!!!❤🧡💛❤
Great advice, wish I watched this 2 months ago!
Good info like always . Got Cold rain in MA 20mi north of Boston brrr. I do not plant inside or use a green house . I wait till may and direct plant in the fenced in and under raised beds built. . Works for me. Maybe one of these years I’ll try indoor sprouting.
Love your tips, thank you!
I got into growing veg during the covid lockdowns in Melbourne Aust - (longest lockdown in the world) :(
Still learning, so much and your education is great way. 😘
Enjoy the sunshine!
