Oslo Pouch Sewing Tutorial (sewing pattern)

Sewing pattern and tutorial in four sizes: mini, small, medium and big.

Skill level: advanced beginner
Materials needed:
Medium size:
• Main fabric - Canvas: 36 x 33 cm (14” x 13”)
• Lining - Cotton: 36 x 33 cm (14” x 13")
• Medium weight fusible interfacing 36 x 33 cm (14” x 13”)
• Leather strap: 19.5 cm (7 3/4”) long,
width is 12 - 20 mm (½" to ¾”)
• Metal zipper: length 25 cm (10”), tape width 16 -18 mm (1" - 1 1/8")
• Single fold bias tape: 100 cm (40”), width 18 mm (or bias tape maker)
• 2 pieces of leather (for the zipper ends): 12 x 25 mm (1/2” x 1”)
• Leather strap or cord (for the zipper pull-tab): approx. 8 cm (3”), width - depending on your zipper
• Optional: Matching cotton fabric 31 x 33 cm (12” x 13”) for the bias binding (if you want to make your own bias tape)
• Wonder tape (good quality double-sided tape) or Sewline fabric pencil (glue pen)
• Wonder clips or pins
• Scissors
• Ruler(optional)
• Sewing machine
• Teflon foot (for leather) (optional)
• Zipper foot
• Thick needle no.90
• Matches or lighter
• Iron or heat press
• Thread
• Fabric marker
