Lovely descriptions of these two (different enough to be separate) beautiful fragrances Wendy! I love Kelly Caleche (EDT). Being a huge fan of leather based perfumes, I bought KC as soon as it came out, as I’d been following the pre-release marketing on it. It became my #1 fragrance. I think many folks were expecting a strong leather accord in this one when it first arrived, and so they were disappointed since the leather is subtle. Like you, though, I appreciate the elegant coolness of the green and mossiness, along with the delicate florals and handbag-leather note. I have to tell you since you mentioned wanting to try the parfum version, I found the parfum and the metal cases online at Fragrancenet a few few years back. The price was very reasonable. The parfum is similar to the EDT, and deeper. I look forward to watching more of your perfume reviews!

Great description of Kelly Calèche fragrance. I ordered this fragrance this afternoon from Saks--Eau de Toilette. I used to wear Calèche Eau de Parfum in 2004 thru 2006. I'm interested to tell the difference between these two. CELESTE, in the ATL 🌿
Great descriptions, details & comparisons between the KC EDT & Parfam. I was confused initially when purchasing the EDT after having the Parfam. They are different but, the EDT is fresher & good for spring/summer with the Parfam more suited for autumn/winter. I find Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb is similar & retails for half the price, it’s good for everyday wear & saving KC for going out/occasional wear. I’ve been wearing KC since its release & I love it especially as hardly anyone else wears it or knows the distinctive fragrance. To me it reminds me of leather, sweet hay & roses.
I was just about to order the samlle.of this and now.i am going tonorder the 8ml, thats all i can afford for now and i can guve it a good try. I love leather, and leather womens fragrance is my favorite type of scent. Thanks for your insight ❤
Ohhhhhh - Cutie in the background! ❤️ This is such a beautiful scent! But sadly it develops badly on me - literaly goat and grass hmpf…. 😖😡 - I was asked after a hug not to wear that again 😱 On paper I get all the beautiful things you are talking about - sooooo beautiful! On the skin though… AWFUL… Have to admit- was a blind buy because a colleague smelt sooooo good 😍 Question: does your dog react to your perfumes? Because mine (Husky-mix) gets all cuddly and cosy when I am wearing montales or the body shops white musk or clair de musc by Serge Lutens - there are others he avoids me but I do not remember which ones
That's a shame that Kelly wears on you like that:( Haha my dog, well, I try to apply perfume away from him but he invariably gets into the "cloud" and starts sneezing. Sometimes I shut the door so the dust will settle. Otherwise they don't bother him, but sometimes a little rubs off after I hug him:)

Sorry to bother you a year later but I have a question. Is the EDP soapy? I have a massive aversion to Soapy fragrances. It keeps me from loving Shalamar which is so close to perfect IMO. But no, the soap.
Unfortunately I've never found anything else close to Kelly, except another Hermès called Rose Ikebana which is more expensive! I've had good luck on the grey market with Kelly though, she does show up at discounters. Good luck:)

I find it’s warmer, softer & lasts far longer than most perfumes, so much that my jacket or coat still smell of KC days/weeks/months afterwards. I’m able to purchase KC online from a perfume supplier in the UK. I wear V&R everyday & KC parfam for going out.

My favorite ever scent. The "green" part of the fragrance is prominent to me. I need a new bottle - I hope it hasn't been reformulated!

That's okay! I do not find the EDP soapy I think it's mostly a floral leather. Hope that helps.

Too leathery? There is also Guerlain Cuir Beluga and Bottega Veneta which are more on the suede side:)
