- When you contract is up, virgin media wants there broadband Hub back. They send you a plastic bag and you have to undo all the work that a paid professional installed, without causing any damage to the equipment.
There's a £50 charge for not returning the hub.
than you for demonstrating how the termination cap is fitted. been looking everywhere for this.
Thank you for this. Interesting to know that I'm not the only one who thinks it's awkward.
Cheers mate. Awful company who I'll be glad to be leaving.
How miserly and awful they areThey need hubs and even cables!!!
Anybody know if they still charge 50 quid if you don't return it? I've just thrown the box away...
My silver termination cap came _with_ a small black plastic spanner to help screw it on
Obviously lots of people (including me) have difficulty getteing the cable out of the wall unit!!! Tried calling Virgin Media for a fix but you can’t speak to a technician- they can only visit. Crazy!!!
I find it extremely hard to get the broadband cable off the virgin media pack from the wall to then screw that silver cap that is given. Is it even needed? Would I be charged if I don't give them that cable?
HELLO, got my package to return my virgin equipment, all went well until i tried to disconnect that broadband cable, I am 67 and have no strength in my hands also am unable to kneel down, so how am i going to get this cable to disconnect?. i had been with virgin media for 21 years, and i am leaving because i was paying for high speed service and not even getting dial up speeds, no discounts for this terrible speed!, put up with it for too long (over 2 years), i paid for 200mb for 2 years too, did not get it ever!, downgraded to 100mb, still didn't get anything like promised. This company has been totally unhelpful, and as someone else has said, impossible to get them to help.
Kathleen Cissewski hi, you don’t need to return the cable. Just the equipment boxes, power cables, remote.
It’s a shame that virgin can’t keep a loyal customer like you. They should compensate you for not providing the services they promised. They always promise at least half of the advertised speed.
Well it’s their loss.
Very well done, Kathleen.
So are you now managing without broadband internet, Kathleen?
Or have you found a more economical option?
@@Mario-xr3jo HI, i am very lucky to have a community server, and am over the moon with it!, i get 150mb uploads and 150mb downloads, its like having a new PC. and at £20.00 per month for the next 2 years, i am well chuffed.. i feel lucky that i live on a council estate and they have provided this service for all of the tenants, not just for us leasehold owners. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AS WELL, KATHLEEN!
That’s fantastic
Because of Covid I do not want to go to the Post office. Who will come and take it or do I have to pay?
That’s a good question.
I’m not aware of a pick up service. I’ll advise to give virgin a call.
Did they charge you for not returning the telephone cable? I have the same doubt, hopefully they won’t need it!
No. I didn’t get charged. I don’t think they wanted the telephone cable.
tell them to take this shit off youre wall ....they dont like it awful company
I am still waiting for Virgin Media to send me a bag to return hub that was unsuitable .Have phoned 3 times.
hi received my new Hub and then found out there was no letter and post liable
If it’s new, are you just starting your contract? If yes, they will send it when your contract is over.
