A study score of Verdi's beloved opera with orchestra only. A great way to learn the score for conducting, or for singers who want to practice their parts with an orchestral accompaniment. Because there are passages with no orchestra, the time it takes to sing those passages has been retained following the Ponnelle film version of the opera starring Luciano Pavarotti, Edita Gruberova and Ingvar Wixell. Tempi and rubati are fashioned after this production. The off-stage banda is orchestrated based on the Ricordi published score.
