Start with the pinky put the thumb on last as you use that nail the most. Before filing off the end stretch the wrap so that it is tighter on the nail. Don’t take the wrap right down onto the cuticle or so close to the edge of the nail bed, they will last longer and not get caught in your hair.
I don’t know if it’s my water, the arid summers or what, but when I’ve tried stretching my wraps, that’s when they shrink on me after a couple of days. I love hearing everyone’s different processes, though, so thank you for sharing! I’m sure it will benefit many out there who struggle! 💕
How did it go when you put yours on? I see your comment is four months old so you should have a little experience with them by now. I just ordered mine.
They are very pretty. I love nail wraps, you can get beautiful nails with very little effort. I have been wearing Dashing Diva but I want to try Lily and Fox. I am definitely going to get the ones that you used in this video.
They're absolutely stunning! I'm a sucker for glitter, and Lily & Fox have the best glitters without any texture. With regular polish or even gels, the texture drives me bonkers! I'll look into Dashing Diva, though! I'm always excited to see what designs are out there! :D
I saw your video is a year old. Are you continuing to do the nail wraps? I just discovered Lily and Fox. My first order is on the way. I'm also hard on my hands...gardening and chickens! I have small hands and nails. I want to do something nice for myself! I don't pamper myself like I used to.
I saw a clip from the company that they suggest putting a piece of tape over your nail, trace the outline on it then put the tape on the sticker and trim so it will fit. Just bought these myself to try.
I do still use these wraps and I still love them! Gardening and chickens is my life as well, so I totally understand. I hope you love them as much as I do!
That's what I normally do, too. I think somewhere in this video I talk about that. I didn't want to over-complicate the process for people who are brand new to wraps, but yeah I can't pass up a $1.50 manicure. HA! :)
@@tabbyb3514 Yes, you can totally do that! The entire wrap has adhesive. Once you cut it, though, just put it in a sandwich bag and get all of the air out and plan to use it relatively quickly. I've cut mine and then used the cut wraps about 6 months later and they were fine! :)
Some people suggest warming them up first by, well, sitting on them... True story! I've never tried it, though! I have insanely thin nails, so I really like the sets that are a little thicker than normal! It's like a little extra strength I just can't grow on my own. If you have nice, strong nails, I can imagine it would be weird!
Not very long, although it depends on whether you're using a base coat and top coat. Lots of people only use the wrap and that works great for them! If that's your method of application, then 10 minutes is probably all you'd need. With base and top, there's dry-time to consider. But for me, it takes about half an hour combined. 😁
I was excited to try these but the tips look damaged after just a couple of days. Even with my 2nd pair trying a base and top coat the tips look a bit chipped. Also applying a top coat which is suggested on their website made them bubble. They definitely don't last looking good for 2 weeks, not even one week. Also there isn't the right size for some nsils and the whole nail isn't covered, my fingernail is visible on the sides. The patterns are fun but overall i find these disappointing.
I love L&F, but if they don't work for you, definitely try another brand! 3 of my nails are the same size, so I know the struggle trying to make them work. I've heard from a lot of people saying the base and top coats caused bubbling, shrinkage, wrinkling, etc... I'm currently using Nail-Aid's Sapphire base coat, and Sally Hanson's Miracle Gel top coat, but it doesn't use a UV lamp. Sometimes, I forego the base coat, apply the wraps, and then just go for it with a UV gel top coat. That pretty much ensures I get a couple of weeks out of them, without the harsh soak-off gel actually touching my nails.
Update: I put on my 3rd set and used the base and top coat recommended by Lily And Fox and still the tips looked bad after just 2 days. ☹️ I have 5 more sets that I bought. These last less than regular nail polish.

Just got my first set from L & F today. This is the first time I've EVER done nail wraps and your video was so helpful! Thank you!!

You are so welcome!
Thanks for the vlog. I like the way these wraps look good on short nails.
Love this!❤ Thank you for having short imperfect nails, just like me! 😂
It's so important to see real-life, isn't it? I also appreciate those willing to show off their imperfect nails! 🤣❤️
Thank you for the video. I just got my Lily and Fox wraps in the mail today.
Very helpful video! I got some of them-they are great!
This is really helpful! So many tips and tricks! Thanks so much! :)
You're very welcome! If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to share them! I'll do my best to help!

Am new to nail wraps, dab tips thank you 😊
Great tip with the tape.
That' great, but how do you do the right hand?
With short nails, you can do 2 nails with one strip
Is lily & fox double ended adhesive?
I thought I may have understood differently 😕
What is the sticky base coat you use? There are many on Amazon
CND Stickey, however, I can't find it anymore. Second choice is Orly! amzn.to/3W9kgBl

Yes I love them! ❤️
Why not using it 2 times, cut it in the middle, so you can do 2 nails with one item. Esp if you have that short nails... I do it always
Can you do that with these lily & fox brand?
I may have misunderstood some brands don't have double ended adhesive

I've also seen ladies wrap the very edge around their nail rather than filing all of it off.
A tip: Do your thumbs last - less chance of damaging the wrap.
I actually took your advice right after you posted this and you’re so right! It made it much easier! I wanted you to get the props for that tip!
I got lily and Fox nail wraps but they are so stiff….it’s difficult for me to put them on. Any suggestions on how to apply because of the stiffness.

Be sure the clear cover is removed
Even w the clear cover removed its difficult for me.
You don’t have to cure these with an UV/LED light?
Nope! You CAN use a gel with these, but it's definitely not a must!
I like the shiny too! How long does this typically take you to do?

Ordered my 1st set. Will give them a shot. How do you remove them?
