I still remember when s1mple asked Tarik why are nobody playing Reyna in the pro scene. Tarik said that Reyna is a useless agent to contest for space in pro play since her util is very selfish and based on kills. s1mple then replied that "Reyna is a terminator". I guess Something playing Reyna is a great example of how cracked she can be in the right hand and the right team.
the thing is your more often to pick other agents that has better space taking ability but this doest include players tht have MASSIVE,HUMONGOUS, balls with absolutely big confidence on their mechanics like Something
I think even something could get more value on jett than on reyna bcs you also have your get out of jail free card + oping and entrying utility. Reyna just isnt a team agent and thats bad in a team game at the highest level

reyna dismiss can actually remove concuss or slowing effect, a rather good counter to harbor utilities
also with how PRX play, they always swarm the site after reyna throws her flash, making it difficult to shoot it

I think ur missing the point why she isnt picked. Its because u need a kill to have those abilities i think if she got the 4 charges like she had few years ago she wouldnt be used in pro play (not counting prx)

@@fachrykikies1123 not really throwing, but Termi (DRX Coach) are forcing Stax as IGL to be able to adapt to enemy gameplay without TO and a coach input so stax can become more adaptive to opposing team plan/gameplay. That's why they seems to not use TO on not so important match as they're already bound to master tokyo anyway just as when they lose to TS because they're already locked into playoff.

idk how to message you TMV, but i've been telling my friends my hot take on reyna. SHES A SENTINEL. change her flash for some trip-like ability, and she plays exactly like every other sentinel should and does.
i love strategy in valorant, but as solo queue with average aim and sometime worse. the hardest part is telling people that i need their help to do what in my mind, following them a few round hoping they will follow me back after a few lose round, but that did not happen.

On defense I guess DRX just didn't want to try and even attempt to contest space against PRX. That goes poorly for most teams anyway
But on attack I'm surprised DRX weren't able to shut down an Op-ing Reyna. They probably didn't expect a Reyna in a pro match but surely it would be super easy for them to deal with? Wouldn't it just be dealing with a Jett with less steps?
Or maybe Something's aim was so impeccable that he pretty much had a Dismiss to use every time he peeked with an Op
i also confuse why they not push some rounds and not use op. when after watching this map of prx, lot of teams can counter it by pushing early space. like b short. prx didnt even checked it so much at attack. but its a sea playstyle. they will do this until opponent figure it out. fact is why prx good is they can adapt in a mid round with like super crazy ideas. but as a prx fan but still feel like drx just did lot of experiment by stress testing themselves. or can be a tilt after aim + strat diff. but rayna pick was expected. they played rrq before with rayna and after win f0rsaken said at interview it was their default agent comp for bind .
bro that is weak excuse, EVERYONE must give their best, expecially people in competitive scene, to find room for improvement, if DRX truly have this mindset, then they're bound to be exploited.
DRX just can't hit their shoot on that day, i remember on bind even stax who is phantom believer buying vandal in the middle towards the end of game iirc, they lost so many first bullet hit again PRX

i think they just didnt contest space at the start because the normal game vs prx is that whenever u try to do what they do they will win and drx won vs prx multiple times by playing rather passive so they tried to stick to it even vs reyna
also i think they got aim diffed a lot and had less confidence in their aggression
The thing is on bind it's very hard to hold the sites without contesting one of the two entrances so I think the normal thing to do would be to contest showers and long
Now my ranked reyna will lurk more and more :(

TL;DR: Something doesn’t respect your plays
I don't get it
jett has 2 smokes(which has a short duration) and rest of her abilities are for herself
whereas reyna has 2 blinds and rest of her abilities are also for herself
so how reyna is a selfish agent and jett isn't?
ik her smokes help in taking space but reyna flash can be used to take space or get info when the enemy tries to break it
and if u see in current meta most the players are capable of dodging other agent's flash so even if reyna's flash is breakable it has many positive impacts
1. it doesn't flashes your teammates
2. if enemy shoots her flash it reveals his position
3. when enemy shoots her flash it ruins enemy's pre aim which can win her many 1v1's
4. her flashes can travel through walls which can help in flashing for your team even if u r not with them in many cases
so I just feel like reyna can be played in many maps in pro scene
Jett does the smoke + dash to get information and create chaos. Reyna can't do that unless you hold W, which prx does

You cannot take space as reyna when someone mollies the floor. Reyna is not a movement agent. If you look at raze, neon, and jett, they all have abilities for them to take space and create two different angles for enemies to shoot from. I think yoru, reyna and phoenix should be categorized as a flasher, and jett, neon, raze as an entry/movement agent. You technically can create two different angles using yoru's and omen's tp but its too slow and situational
i think all of her abilities are meant to be selfish. i know in some situations, her leer can also help your teammate but most of the time cannot, while the other duelist have the ability to create space/map control/gather information. Her abilities are good but only for herself.

The rule against prx is to not contest area. That's how they always lose. When prx opponent did not dare to contest and play like a turtle, prx always lose hard.
If the opponent contest an area, they will trade and the flood gate will open for prx to rush in.
Not to mention, drx always use phantom for whatever reason.

I don't see the benefit of hiding tactics and missing out on the #1 seeding. After all, you're only exposing your tactics in the group stage.
