Hugin being banished doesn't stop ecclesia from adding back to hand. It just states if a fusion was sent to the grave this turn, which it was.

Ecclesia and Cartesia are both ruled the fusion has to remain in grave until they activate for them to “see” a fusion was sent there that turn.
