@@davidspencer8373 hi David my name is Brett Spencer wonder if we are related, ya know same last name and alli see you post for Wayne all the time . maybe you might say hello sir!!!
Nicely done Wayne. I was lucky enough to see the USA Freedom 7 (Alan Shepard) capsule when it came to England rather a long time ago! In 1968 the Russian exhibition in London displayed the Vostok 1 (Gagarin) capsule ball. I can remember feeling quite underwhelmed when I saw that one!! Excellent video Wayne, a good snap shot of what peeps can expect if they want to visit. 🚀
This was cool. Reminds me of the Johnson Space Center here in Houston. I need to go soon I haven't been there in a long time. I'm sure they have some new exhibits to see.
Wayne, I really liked this video. I always wondered how they would release themselves in space, and in your video, you answered my question. I do like it when you make videos of interesting places that you and Mrs.Wayne goes to. I'll never get bored of these types of videos. Thanks. Bruce
So what T-shirt did you decide to wear LOL. My girl friend and her family went to Florida the last week of June and spent a day at the Kennedy Space Center. What a great experience. Now I have to go to Leicester and see those exhibits.
It is a great museum that I have visited many time as part of their Lego weekend as an exhibitor. They have a number of special events on all year including science fiction events.
Lovely to see that it’s still going strong Wayne .. took the kids there many years ago, before we got the chance to visit the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida back in 2007 .. where we saw the Space Shuttle Atlantis out on pad 39A being readied for a night launch (sadly that happened a week after we came home). If you get the chance to go there .. then you can walk under the Saturn 5 rocket that is now in its own hall & is mounted Horizontally..so you get to appreciate the sheer size of that Rocket!
That place looks amazing Wayne. It didn't look like there was a crowd there either. That would be so nice. Hate I missed you at Wonderfest this year. Hope to catch you next time. Cheers.
Great video! These are the kinds of spots I like to visit when I get the chance. My sister, her first husband and I made trip to England back in October 2001 and spent 2 weeks there, one week of which was in the London area. Turned out the hotel we stayed at was only a 10 minute walk from the British Museum! Spent a whole day there - fantastic place.
My wife's Uncle Alan was a Professor Emeritus of Phsics and Astronomy at Leicester Uni and was one of the people who set up the National Space Centre. He went all over the world to get stuff for it.
It's nice to see they've updated a lot of exhibits since I've been there last. It was okay when I was there, but I grew up only a few miles from Kennedy Space Center, so it's a tough comparison with the tourist center there. I remember the planetarium was pretty good, named after Patrick Moore. Does the rocket in the food court still spout smoke every few minutes?
oooo i never knew you were coming to my home town 😨😨 i nearly went to the latest scifi event here to see the Doctors, but time and money got the best of me unfortunately
