Hi Mark, good review as always, Sound is number one for me, I just need a pair of buds that will do the basics well, I found that with the Denon Pearl Pro, sound signature is second to none, I say that as they are tuned via the app tech.
I honestly don't care about ANC in earbuds I have bad allergies and it makes my ears feel pressurized. What makes me really interested in these is the size!!! That case looks tiny and I love it lol. I have the top end Sony's and Samsung's but I might pick these up just for the size and simplicity. I have a tendency to lose these suckers(always the right one)so the sub-100 price makes these seem like the perfect beater buds.
Old man technophobe looking to go wireless and saw the prices and thought ‘no effing way’ then saw these beats for £80 in the Apple Store and thought ‘I need to learn why the price difference’ so found your review, learned what I needed to, and will now purchase them (even though I’m the same as you regarding eq) Thanks for the helpful review, subscribed. 👍🏻
Thanks mate for the review. I was trying to figure out if they had Spatial Audio support. I couldn’t really tell from their website. Seems like they really try not to use Apple’s jargon.
I bought these 2 weeks ago and yes there's lots to like about them. The case Is really compact, the buds last ages on a charge, they charge fast, they are simple to use. Call quality is actually really good, and dare I say it, better then SB+. However I've replaced them with Nothing ear A buds. It's for one simple reason. They sound bad. Not just a little bad, but really bad. If your listening to RUclips or podcasts, they are fine. But for music just forget it. They are missing key beats features such as bass. The midrange is far to boosted and in general it's just a bad experience for the fundamental thing they should be able to do well. As stated you can't EQ them, or rather they just sound bad no matter what even if you try. If they had the profile of the SB+ with a basic 3 way EQ, it would be worth it. It's easily the worst product Apple sells. In contrast the ear A while not perfect either get all the basics right. They are also designed well. I get stemmed design isn't for everyone, but you can find many alternatives in the same form factor that perform better. My old pixel buds a actually sound better then these. Save your money if it's sound quality your after. These ain't the answer.
i was thinking to buy these for running but i don't know if it would be a good option considering they aren't ip certified. maybe a pair of nothing ear a would be a better choice? can someone help me please?
Check the frequency response of the anker. They have the sound of the worst era of early beats. I mean that's so terrible that I rather listen to rusty metal scratch glass instead of any of anker product.
Just got them from Amazon today (June 24, 2024). WORST sounding earbuds I have EVER tried. Waaaaay too much treble...even for audiobooks/podcasts....poor fit despite using every supplied tip. No amount of tweaking has helped. Very low max volume on my iPhone and iPad....just OK on my Mac mini. Immediate return. I will stick with my trusty AirPods. Apple (Beats) has finally disappointed me. Well... You get what you pay for.
What matters the most for you when it comes to earbuds - sound or convenience?
SOUND then BATTERY LIFE then COMFORT
Why you lie that’s these have Spatial Audio they do not and don’t mislead with capable it’s not

Thanks for doing a review on these! Now that I know these have Spatial Audio support, I’ll definitely be picking these up! 👍🏻
Cheers - and glad you're enjoying them!

Studio buds are on sale for $99 just $10 more
Finally I find someone to speak the characteristics to need to know before buy it.
Take my like 👌
This will be the best in class
Great review buddy I enjoyed it a lot. I love my new beats solo 4
I'll be getting these since I want a cheaper wireless earbuds that easily connects to iphone and I buds does not continuously charge to 100%

Guessing it will only be for Apple Music users, like it is in the Studio Buds. and even then nowhere near as good as AirPods Pro.

Thanks for posting this video
I will wait for a black Friday sale....they removed a lot of things lol, I'd rather get soundcore with ANC and all.
Jlab has some for 40$ that are smaller than these with a charging case. lol
Yo los compraría para tenerlos disponibles en caso de que mis audífonos principales se queden sin batería 😁.
First lol! Love your work and appreciate you sharing it!
Love this - thanks!

No charging LED is insane, that's pretty much a dealbreaker and it would've cost them pennies to include
"Insane"? It's not really, mate, is it.
Plus an LED and a circuit board to drive it, which would have made the case larger. The goal was to make the case as small as possible
Basically, they’re a higher priced Beats X/Flex without the wires.
There are companies out here making water resistant buds for 13$ i know cause i have them 😅
How charge it ?
Via the case's USB-C port.
@@MarkEllisReviews On which they don't provide the cable for. This is Apple.
Or for £20+ cheaper buy the Soundcore A40s that actually come with ANC unlike these Beats earbuds..😢

And has a case that has a battery
But the beats will definitely work.
Yeah but the beats have Apple connectivity.
Beats get girls in the gym
Why does the thumbnail show all the colors ? when in the video just the white version is shown 🤔
Why not?!
@@MarkEllisReviews cos, I wanted to see how the red looks. 😂
Beats have lost their way with the last three releases, It’s a real shame
A lot of caveats for 80$
cross platform, yet it benefits android users a lot more than Apple users, how ironic
