    For the lot of you who are saying you have never heard Buckethead before, there's actually a good chance that you have without realizing it. He has played with some of the biggest names frontlining today's rock/prog-metal/alt-rock scene...both as a guest musician and on occasion as a temp stand in. Some acts include Guns N Roses, Primus, and Arcana just to name a few. This guy is truly amazing and seems to be an endless wealth of creativity with the guitar. The more I listen to his riffs the more I appreciate his work.

    10 years with Buckethead and still amazed like for the first time , his music is always with me when it's grim around , despite going through war in my motherland , harsh inner conflict, psychological disorder and complex relationship troubles it's absolutely vital to remain in peace which Buckethead music is made of. It's always so easy to forget about life's hardness and drift away into distant worlds of Buckethead's music , I'm thankful to God he has shown me this gem of a musician .

    After so many years of what could be described as pure hell, your music grounded me and brought me back to a time more calm and peaceful. Your music has stayed with me even when it felt like I had nothing. Without fully realizing, I gravitated back to your music after years of barely even remembering who you were. All this stress and chaos… I’m so glad I found you again. You were a lifeline that I didn’t know I needed until I saw Soothsayer pop up in my recommended. I didn’t know how bad I needed you until the algorithm brought me back to you. You’re a godsend, Buckethead. In every goddamn way. I plan on seeing you in concert soon, whenever I get the money. I look forward to how amazing you’ll play, and can’t wait to never forget you standing on stage playing one of your masterpieces. I’m sorry I forgot you. It’ll never happen again.

    When I was a kid I had this scary dream that there was this guy with 5 gallon buckets and he was chasing my family down, one at a time. He would place the bucket on their head then it melted to their face and then they would suffocate and die. As I ran and hid, I watched him do this one by one to each family member. It finally came down to just me and him, I ran and he chased. He catches up to me and puts the bucket on my head then everything goes dark. I died and then was just left in emptiness. I call him, The Bucket Head Man.

    Music isn’t fully appreciated when your merely listening to it. It’s most appreciated when both the musician, and the receiver, are equally aware of our shared experience.
    Some admired musicians can be the performer who plays the notes and the melody, but are subtly shaving seconds off - just to get to those last few notes of a song.
    With Buckethead, notes will dream their way out of a guitars light slumber and make their whispered or emphatically direct sounds - so no one misunderstood. Unhurried.
    The end will be there - and will wait.

    Oddly enough when I usually listen to music without words written to it e.g. satriani, Steve vai and even Eric johnson a little bit. I find that it just doesn't have the substance to keep me interested in it for an entire song. However, and I've never heard buckethead before today right now, this music is very captivating, almost intellectual and old-school, with a little bit of funk and a little bit of speed metal zakk wylde type guitar and a soft yet also hard little bit of attitude and some melancholy depressioned slips that work. And even a bit of undertones that I'm sure point the way to the writers heart. And best part is its
    all blended up into a song that does in fact keep my attention very much so. And it sounds fuckin good man. Dude shoulda wrote some lyrics or had someone else try at least once. This song is fantastic. I could listen to this not only all the way thru but all day long over and over. Down by the bay, we can eat some hay, your kinda gay, I just may. Yeah this is righteous. I listen to all genres of music also so it's kinda surprising to not have stumbled across his music before. But I'm definitely gonna check out the stuff you mentioned. Cuz as I stated I really like this one. But thanks man and right on, much appreciated. And good job of keeping old tunes alive. I always wonder-if we make this far that is-if in like 100 or 200 years will people ever go back and listen like led zeppelin or something less mainstream like frank zappa or idk just shit like this that's good ass music that never got any air play because it's more art like and abstract. Prolly written in a time In the guys life when life was really weighing heavily on him or he was using a lot of good drugs. Those always seem to influence an artists style for sure. So it's good to hear even thought you don't care for this you're still puttin it out there for the younger generations to pick up on and just rock out to. Good music is timeless and never dies. But sometimes is never heard. Keep it up man.

      @@mrnaylor132 Hey man here’s a recommendation, it doesn’t have lyrics but it has outstanding musicality. The Dragons of Eden album. It’s a collaboration with keyboardist Travis Dickerson and drummer Brain. It has some kind of eastern funk-jazz-fusion-prog rock vibe to it, a lot of keyboard and guitar duos and a lot of dynamics. Every song is great. Probably one of his best albums
      It’s also a concept album based on a book about the evolution of human intelligence

      @mrnaylor132 2 года назад +1

      @@Johnnysmithy24 man yes and yes, I will definitely check out the suggestions for sure. These last couple days I haven't devoted entirely to his music. But I've listened to a bunch of his music. I definitely enjoy it. Which is rare for me with music without lyrics. His is very different than like Steve vai and satriani. They tend to focus more on little fancy guitar diddys and just playing fancy little guitar licks that I feel get boring. I mean it's cool and all but I wouldn't wanna go to one of their shows and watch the whole set. It all starts to sound the same after a while. And it's idk just bland to me. Like you can incorporate some of that stuff in a real song and then it's cool. But not a whole song of little fancy licks like they do. Like dime bag was one of my favs as far as guitar players go. Because he had so much personality For one. And he could incorporate that stuff into a song and make it work. And make it sound good. Like he used the echo that satriani devised and used it in one of his solos. Sounded great and you'd never really know it was satriani at all. Plus he was just a great player. Bucket head on the other hand puts so much emotion in just the music that it's hard to not like it. The sheer emotion in just the slower parts of this song overshadow almost all other not lyrical guitar player/song writers. In my opinion anyway. Like I said I never heard buckethead till the other day. But I'm glad I stopped to smell the roses. Because the beauty of his guitar playing is masterful. And if the 2 albums you spoke in reference to are anything like this one or slightly different even. I. Know I'll love em. Hes one of the only guitar players that make the damn sing with tears coming from the pickups. It's not snappy little licks. It's a deep dark groove of progressive rock and some form of style that doesn't emulate anyone else. And can really only be described as his style. Which is just fantastic to my ears. So thank you both for enlightening me to his other stuff. I appreciate it.

    I missed out on a lot of this guy's stuff because of his dumbass gimmick, but this song is about as soothing as it gets.

      I've missed out on him for years, because I was not a GnR fan, and when he replaced Slash is when I first heard of him. Twenty plus years later, I find I can't get enough of Buckethead.
