Hi. I’ve had my ZS Hybrid+ for about 6 weeks and driven around 475 miles (760km). I’m retired and therefore don’t go out as much as I used to. Firstly, many thanks for the videos, they are both interesting and informative. This one provides a real world test situation, on a cold, windy day with heavy traffic. I did however notice that the engine was running nearly all the time, there was only one short period when the display showed 0.0 RPM. I suspect this because you had the AC/heating on for the whole test. Doing this results in the software having to keep the engine running, as that is the only place where heat is generated, and as a result, I suspect this will increase the consumption figure significantly. As my journeys are usually short, I only switch on the heated driver’s seat and steering wheel, and leave the AC etc off, as there’s no point in running the engine, due to you needing at least 3 bars, before you get warm air, and by that time I’ve generally reached my destination. Doing this results in most of my journeys showing 0.0 RPM. The engine does run now and again, but this is usually only when I need a bit of acceleration. I’ve also notice the noise level, it definitely could do with improvement. Regarding the speed limit bongs, I started by turning them off, but then thought perhaps leaving them on, was better than getting a speeding ticket. In the UK the speed of the traffic is usually 3-4 MPH above the speed limit, and it’s very easy to drift up, and there are speed cameras everywhere.📸! Once again, many thanks Noel.
This is a proper test!!! Because traffic is mad in these days, and I can ask you to do every time test like this- heavy traffic jam, little bit of high-way, everything from everithing, because that is a real world test we all drive our cars like that day in day out. We don’t have all luck to drive to work and back home on a high-way or we live 1km from work, no we have to go to city center in a traffic that is huge, and real world consumption is like this in your video. Keep it like that, please! All the best, and Happy New Year!!
Ignoring the minor things, such as lack of light for rear passengers and no adjustment of the steering wheel (depth) or seat belt (height). The big problem happens on very long climbs, mountain passes, once the electric battery is exhausted, the thermal engine is very poor, even losing speed, this is very important. They talk about software updates, but the three-speed ratio doesn't help. We'll see what happens, there are complaints from all over the world.
Thanks for the video - happy new year! I´m a bit disappointed about consumption, especially in ecomode to be honest. 7,x liters can do a simple actual patrol small SUV like VW T-ROC or Skoda Kamiq, too, can´t it? They all have Start/Stop-tech so they will hav 0 consumption on traffic lights or in a traffic jam while here the engine is almost always running. *hm I wonder what the Dacia Duster hybrid would have consumed in the same conditions...
You drove Toyota in exact same condition just behind the author of this video to say that with such confidence? It was a harsh day and traffic. There are numerous reports indicating much lower consumption for this car, and even more for MG3 which has been a bit longer on the market an has the exact drivetrain.
Do you know the battery size? I had a Corolla and that had a very small battery around 1kWh. 50:11 that is very impressive. If I had driven that section of road in the Corolla, the engine would have definitely been running off and on.
Tnx. Goog video. On the secondary market they lose a lot of value. In 5 years of ownership, this car won't sell for even 40% of the original price. In a word - a disposable car. There is also a problematic story with spare parts.
In my opinion, you are simply repeating stereotypes. I have heard numerous stories about spare parts issues with other brands as well. Predicting a car's value five years from now is very challenging, so using that as a basis for comparison seems somewhat unfair. Furthermore, even if the value after five years is lower than that of other car brands, please keep in mind that MG has a significantly lower starting price. When you factor this in, the total cost over five years may still favor MG.
as loud around 100 km/h as saab 9 5 '07 driving 140+km/h judging the recording...also all season tyres are really good unless you hit Ice but then it's all kind of bad anyway.
Judging the sound the car makes by watching a RUclips video recording is like commenting on the taste of the food by looking at its picture... Drive the car first, then make a comment.

Hi, what about maintenance Service prices, time or in interval, availabilty of exchange pieces? Very good review and a happy New year
why does come are manufacturers still put sat nav screens dead centre and very low down. they have never been as safe to use being that low

what kind of pov camera r u using?
Thanks for the video - happy new year!

Thanks 🙏 Happy New Year 🥳🎉 The traffic was pretty heavy and that why … usually should be better
Is it not so that the engine was running more because of the high 22 celsiuis? some hybrid systems dont like that and work better @ say 19,5c
yeah, i don't think i want a hybrid with 8+ liter consumption in traffic, toyota have consumption of 4-5 liters in the same condition

But with Corolla the motor DOES turn off while driving electric, doesn´t it? - here the patrol engine is running 99% of the trip... *hm
Battery Size 1,83 kWh
👌

You can hear the person speaking through so can compare against noise @@diwat123
