This is one shloka I learnt at school and never forgot about. I never knew the complete meaning or its significance. Still, somewhere in my heart I always felt like Shiva Manasa Pooja and Gajananam Bhoota Ganadi Sevitam mantras are like me performing pooja when I was not able to. Glad to finally get to know that it actually means something similar. Also, extremely happy that I can now sing it with meaning and significance and correct pronunciation in mind. I see that the pronunciation does not have any other anusvaara sounds other than the m sound. Can you explain why the other sounds are not applied even when you say the following word continuously in the shloka ?
Sir one small question... When we perform shiv manas puja, do we have to recite the shalokas aur just imagine the steps in mind mentioned in shiv manas puja
Manasa puja is only needed for a soul..no need for any drama of rituals or offerings which just creates chaosand ego in a soul.
