I got some uncirculated Franklin mint silver dollars form the 911 towers. Supposed from inside the towers vaults. Latter on they sent me a notice to send them back to a refund, because the silver did not come from the towers. I figured I would keep them because of the contrary. Are they worth anything?

How many coins do you have
I have a few British and Canadian coins. I have some wheat pennies, copper pennies, a silver dollar, Kenedy half dollar, and a few other things

Here's the issue that I have with buying Silver/Gold as an "investment." Let's say that you've got a big stack of American Eagles (raw) or straight bullion that you accumulated over the years. You now want to sell them because you need the cash, or whatever. Who do you SELL THEM TO? If you're lucky enough to find a dealer willing to buy, he/she is NOT going to give you spot price...you'll end-up selling them at a deep discounted rate. You can't walk into a bank and cash-out your bullion. It's beyond bizzare how illiquid your "stack" really is!!
I think it depends where you live. If you live in a big city, you can typically sell eagles well above spot on Craigslist within hours. I agree if you live rurally in can be difficult

@@Silverpicker - if want a liquidate shares of stock, I call my broker. I want to cash a check, I take it to the bank. I want to sell shares of one of my my mutual fund accts, I jump on the computer and it's done in 20 seconds, I want to sell some of my bullion or raw Eagle, I have to post it on craigslist????
