    Teachers like this are the reason I made it through secondary school, academically AND in terms of not killing myself.

    I have to write an essay over Iron Triangles and wasn't looking forward to it, but after this I'm actually pretty intrigued and shouldn't have any trouble writing it! Thanks, bro

    Keith, I just wanted to say thank you for your inspiration. I just flipped my classroom this past week. I felt my students were not getting the content I wanted them to get in the style I was teaching. I have emulated many things you have done and my students love it. I also want to agree that this Data killing of students has caused many of my good teacher friends to quit their jobs as well. I teach Honors American History and this channel has helped me immensely. Thank you again

    Oh gosh that was good Keith.
    Thanks for pointing out the negatives about the Iron Triangle.
    There is no corner to object to the thousands of tiny increase in taxes and thousands of tiny increases in the power of government. The power the three corners of the iron triangle ultimately wield is political; is the sanction we 300 million give them and the taxes we allow them to take. Contrast that with the market where the rule is: Everyone is equal in the right to walk away from a transaction. And only those who provide more-benefit-than-the-price can thrive.

    I wish real, normal people could get their legislative needs met by this iron triangle, but it seems to serve corporations and certain entrenched groups, not the majority opinion or even what would be best for most people or the country at large.

    Can someone please? I'm writing an essay on pressure groups and how they're influential. I wrote a counter argument to the point about iron triangles making pressure groups influential, saying that they're not as prominent in recent years. What example can I use?

    I want to become a teacher and things like trying to kill actual teaching and just make it data collecting on a bunch of students that we try to turn into fact spitting robots which I think is just wrong because students should be able to learn the content and not just spit it out from memorizing it....

    Great explanation, thank you! Can you please explain how the NRA is a civil rights interest group?

    • @yordleonkush7970
      @yordleonkush7970 9 лет назад +2

      +Alex Addison Protects the 2nd amendment which is the right to bear arms. Thus, the NRA is protecting the civil liberty of owning a rifle or gun.

    • @AlexanderAddison
      @AlexanderAddison 9 лет назад

      +Yordleonkush I agree with you about civil liberties. My question was about the NRA as a civil rights interest group.

    • @jerrihorsley3385
      @jerrihorsley3385 5 месяцев назад +1

      Because the people have a right to bear arms and the NRA is there to see we still have our rights.

      genaricninja It's been a while. I've been teaching for almost 17 years so diving back into the crack market is going to be tricky. Of course considering I suck I really don't have a choice. I have a feeling this is going to end very bad.
