Just like he says, if we were perfect we would not need a government. We are not perfect. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It only takes one lie to condemn us to hell but God in his gracious mercy sent his only Son who lived a perfect life that pleased God, He died for our sins. He died in our place. We deserve death because of our sins. The wages of sin is death. Jesus Christ, God’s begotten Son died for us and rose up on the third day, defeating death and justifying us in front of a Just and Holy God. We must repent ( change our minds about sin and turn away from it) and believe the gospel. Repent and believe in Jesus Christ else you will perish in your sins and end up in hell ( a place of torment and fire that never ends).
