Yeah...it's pretty odd. I looked for videos on it while waiting for it to arrive, and there's not much. Will be doing plenty more with this, I think it sounds great.
This amp maybe with a mud killer pedal on the gain boost. I think it can be a bit muddy with the gain boost. Without the boost it doesn't get you in lead territory.
I think it kinda depends on the style and the guitar, but I getcha! I feel pretty confident that I could get some pretty good lead tones even with the gain boost off. I've been more of a rhythm player these days haha
@@PariahVSGear had a trade offer to trade my dual rectifier multi watt for the engl inferno. I'm use to presence and resonance controls, But still think inferno sounds epic without needing those controls
Beside other well known tube amps I also have 12 Engl and not only one of them sounds "digital" - not a bit. Of course they sound not like a Twin Reverb, but they can do also dynamic crunch and mid gain sounds, if you know how to set them. Also of course in the higher gain settings, the start to compress a bit, but also this is far away from a amp sim. I also have Axe-Fx III and Kemper which also do not sound like amp sim. 😉
Finally a play through of this amp. Its been a ghost for the last two years

Marty rules, engl rules and so does that amp!!!
Killer score! Tones are definitely sounding great. 🤘
Was always curious about this and the Mille Petroza signature Engl head. Thanks for the demo.
Enjoyed hearing some classic riffs being played on this amp =D
That thing is absolutely brutal sounding.
That's what I'm talkin about, Smokeeeyyy! An amp I WON'T need a boost to get good tones out of it.
I've been a huge fan of ENGL for a long time. Hope you hang on to it for a while and enjoy it, and you get the SYN 2 back up and running soon!
This model sounds warmer and more growly than other ENGL's I've heard, Congrats dude!
Thanks bud! It's definitely pretty dang cool so far haha. Looking forward to exploring it more, and comparing it to some things!
@@PariahVSGear hey it has midi controler also? do u need a noise gate to play live?
@@PariahVSGear Cool dude, I'll stay tuned!
I don't bother with midi much, and I don't think this amp has it (I'll double check) it does have a built in gate though!
Now THIS is a surprise.
🔥🔥🔥🤘
those amps always intrigued me. have you ever thought of getting a looper pedal? i find to tweak on knobs
I've done this, and do something like that mostly when reamping
Played through an engl invader(i think) and it was too low end heavy for me but this one sounds pretty good

@@PariahVSGear Absolute true. Dryer sounding pickups and or with a bass cut. emg's or so will sound good straight in.
Playing after the burial i noticed
Yeah man. Great band with great riffs

I tried an engl in netherlands sounded awesome. But kind of digital to me. I mean even there it sounded like a sim amp.
Which model was it ?

How would you say this one compares to KSR amps youve had in the past?
Hey Terrence just curious why you didn't get the savage 120 M K2
Because I saw a great price for this amp!
@@PariahVSGear sounds incredible
This amp isn't easy to find in the US let alone buy
Guess I got pretty lucky haha. Was around $1800 from someone on reverb
