Dave teased a little bit about doing a complete EFI conversion when he showed us BROTHERS EFI Tank Module a while back. Well now he's here to make good on his word. Using BROTHERS Drop-In Module and a Holley Sniper EFI, Dave made quick work of giving this old Pickup the modern convenience of Fuel Injection without the hassle of swapping in an LS. Dave Welch is a classic truck Specialist and he's got plenty of tricks for nearly every project on your classic! Find Dave's videos and more for your classic at www.brotherstrucks.com

Just discovered your channel and I'm hooked!
Thanks for your videos
Been Looking For This My80 Silverado 305 /16 Gallon Tank(Now 350 Installed)
How do you wire in the truck with two tanks, and a valve selector? Do you need a fuel pressure regulator too, with EFI?
Great job with soldering the wires, shrink tubing and dielectric grease. If you forgot to order some from Brothers, look in the automotive section at the home improvement stores. Currently, Permatex 22958 is a 3.0 oz. squeeze tube as I put that “S*#?t” on everything. As Dave said, grounds are the number one cause in electrical problems. Sandpaper, wire wheel or what you have but get a clean spot. Dielectric grease allows voltage & current (Amperage) thru to the chassis. Speaking of grounds, it is the return path for every circuit on the vehicle. Now is the time to get some “Star Washers” in the hardware section. Cheap insurance in several sizes that dig into the metal for low or no resistance. Look at the back of the alternator as many mounts and engines are cleaned then painted. The back of the alternator is where diodes send the negative amperage. Most all GM end housings has a threaded hole un used and adding a “6 AWG or 4 AWG” short black cable with crimped copper ends from the alternator to the engine block, battery, frame, fender, cab & bed all benefit from adding this cable to an un-used bolt w/star washer helps reducing that return ground path and the ability to charge that battery. This is the time to check, clean, add grease and tighten those grounds. Your headlights, battery, gauges and your new “Sniper EFI” system will thank you! Another good video Dave! Sweet! ASE master, retired.
Thanks Dean!
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV do you guys still sell this fuel kit
Nice job David 🇺🇸
This fuel pump module was covered last month on Feb 8th, but on a cut-away tank. This video covers more on the wiring though, which manynof us need.
This video was more fun for us since we actually got to upgrade the shop truck with a Sniper EFI.
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV The shop truck the is a work horse for many deliveries and chores. It to needs a little love too! Nice job Dave!
Game changer!
I want to know how you run HP fuel through the selection valve on an 83 with dual tanks
Will this unit work if I already purchased a 1987 style baffled tank for my 84c10?
These are designed to work with stock replacement tanks.
did this truck already have provisions for the o2 sensor if not did you guys weld in the bung?
It did not. The Sniper came with a clamp in style o2 sensor so we just simply drilled a hole in the exhaust and clamped the sensor on.
What type of engine was this on? I have a 65 c10 that I'm about to change from an inline 6 to 350 from a 74c10. I've been looking into a sniper
This truck has a factory 454, but the kit would easily work on the 350 you're planning to install.
Hello what sniper efi system did you use ?
He used the Sniper EFI 2 unit.
I’d you use both tanks? If so did it work?
This would work on a dual tank system if you installed a pump in each tank or used a transfer pump to move fuel from an aux tank to a main tank.
I want a EFI set up. 😭
Go grab it, it's literally never been easier!
need part # fuel pump please

HOW DO YOU DO THE DUAL TANK EFI SET UP?
You either have to run a pump for each tank or setup a transfer system to transfer fuel from your "reserve" tank to the main tank.
The link isn't much help, is this discontinued?
Here is a link holley-social.com/Brothers_MuscleCarEFIModules_YT
Thanks!
Isnt that pump just stock style 1987 tbi pumps?
Not at all. This is a 100% custom pump meant to eliminate the need for you to have to change pre '87 tanks to a baffled style. It also eliminates any need for a return line or external regulator like the TBI pump requires.
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV clicking on the link does not take you to the product page anymore (just the Holly site), and it doesn't appear as if this one is still available....
@@mattbrown2793 I'm having trouble finding it also!
