Great Video love the transparency, I'm currently 18 months into running my mechanical and electrical contracting business. Its great to see established businesses share knowledge and experience of the sector.
Another great video 👍 Van issues are the biggest pain for my business at the moment. Nearly £4K on my van repairs last 2 months. Getting it serviced every 6 months now. From watching your videos I’ve just put a couple grand into a website and £300 a month to a marketing agency
Sounds like a painful couple of months pal 😬 keep pushing on Good move starting investing into your marketing, just remember it takes time and keep pushing for Google reviews 👊🏻
I think you and your team have done fantastic job in the last 12 months and you were right to do what you’ve done, carry on with the same The same way and God willing you will do very well also on the van side make sure they are serviced correctly as there is some issues with the newer engines on ford vauxhall and Peugeot . Great video, hope everything keeps going well
Love your vids and your passion. Been a plumber/ heating engineer for 30 years, would love to work in your company. The whole vibe is fantastic and energetic
Hi RJ good video on problem solving bhe it’s not a problem to you all the years of practice fixing boilers. Fair play Just wondering, Can you attach the boiler brochure to RUclips video for people to view maybe? Plus your typical engineer service check routine on combi or system boilers and the time it takes in a normal scenario to hit all the checks? (just the boiler no hob or gas fire etc. when all is going well with a service. ) It would be handy to be able to see it as a reference and it’s to a high standard by the sounds of things in this company. I’m just nosy by the way! Anyway nice work by you and team looking forward to next video 👍
Great video! I’m just taking over another electrical company with 25 years plus trading but I’m buying the assets and customers. Going to be going through very similar issues. Nice little nod to James Sinclair at the end 😉
Personally I wouldn’t be overpaying off bhe. Profitable business’s go bust due to lack of cash. Keep it back to reinvest further in the business. I would also consider your company structure, not sure if you are running two Ltd companies but even if not two brands could mean 2 payrolls accounts insurance software etc. if you can combine the 2 together it could save you a lot of time, effort and money. One brand would also make your life much easier. BHE since 1971 surely is a great selling point for customers. Keep up the great videos! Brilliant to see it’s all an upward trajectory 🤩👍
If I was a young engineer based over your way I’d be doing everything to get a job in your firm. Seem like a proper company who cares and is going places
Interested to know how strong the RJM brand is as streamlining the brands would enable more coverage. If you choose to go out of area towards the south which brand would you use?
Good question, I haven’t thought about it too much but Manchester would be strong and easier with RJM, it’s only 20- 30 mins from Bolton with 2x the population
When you first started offering home care, did you have a target number of customers that would make it viable? As some breakdowns could cost you 2 or 3 years worth of cover for one customer on one job. Also do you have a limit until you would class the boiler BER

Commusoft 👊🏻
I have a 07 Toyota hiace. Looks a mess but I'm absolutely rammed. And charge good money. Maybe change to a fleet of hiaces. 😅
Mega vans, last forever!
Have you thought about air source heating for more work did my training last year so your engineers would be more than capable
Yeah we will do, we did the F-Gas first, heat pumps will be next
