For practicing (especially practicing card splitting and such), I buy a brick (12 decks) of USPCC seconds. They’re often missprinted (back design not quite center is common), but for practice (or even playing with friends) it doesn’t matter at all. They typically cost me half what normal bicycle cards cost (but where I get them they only sell them in bricks)

My favorite find at a goodwill was a sealed blue seal bicycle deck with an opened black seal and those blue seals are the best feeling cards ive ever touched
I used to play a lot of cards, once I found casino quality cards at £2 for 12 packs and 20% discount on top of that I brought 8 boxs the only thing I regret is I did not buy more.
Can you start a TV show based on the premise of "American Pickers" but where you go find and buy cool magic supplies / antiquated magic props and gimmicks. If you keep it in Canada we could settle for an easy name change and just name it "Canadian Pickers"

I am feeling very jealous watching this! Because in France we don’t get dollar stores or uspc cards, or even decks with the full 52 cards in them in, because the French like decks of 32! That makes learning magic a VERY expensive hobby!

I'm pretty sure the reason casinos use large print/jumbo index cards is because they have all the tables on video surveillance. The security staff wants to be able to easily read all the cards on the table, from a camera ten feet away or more, to determine if some form of cheating is going on.
I want that Canada deck now. My favorite special deck is the architectural one, which has a unique illustration on every card. No court, no pips, just index corner. I respect the artists with the ambition to do a full art deck.

At my local Walgreens is where the jackpot is for cards at the store, they sale archangels, steampunk, bicycle chain less, bee, standard bicycle, and studs
I live in the USA I see a lot of this cards u can go to Target and where the toys are u can get cards for throwing and cardistry that isn't bad for using.

Damn I wish I could find these stores in Switzerland !! First of all these decks are around 6-10$ on the internet or in shops and when I want to get them shipped the cost is so high.. I don't really want to pay 15 for one deck of cards that is worth 2$ :(

My absolute favorite deck of cards in the world costs 4.99. I don’t know if they sell them in stores anymore but it’s the Bicycle Everyday Zombie pack. They aren’t mirrored backs so some tricks are a bit “tricky” but the feel of the cards is incredible, and they’re all so cool to look at. I love the look of the special run one way back cards when you fan them out, it’s always so trippy.
Chris, If you want more of those Canada 150 decks, Walmart here in St-Hyacinthe are stuck with about 4 dozens of them on the shelf and probably lots and lots more in the backstore.

Chis, honestly, it could be a nice idea that you buy cards for us, then send them to us. We pay for the decks and shipping fees obviously, but it'll always cheaper than buying those decks from online shops or local shops (which do not include any shipping fees since u're physically buying them). Those rare colored bees for $2 (approx 1.7e) worth not less than 18e where I live (over 20 bucks). Just FYI. So sincerely, even with shipping, you selling us those dekcs u find will be better deals than we can find. Perks of living in Europe where poker standards don't exist unless you're in a tournament.

If you have time, go to the different thrift stores in your area once a month. I live in Sta Ana California and there are some nice unused playing cards for 50 cents to 2 dollars in Sav More, Angel, Salvation Army, Goodwill, Wise Owl, Santa Ana Restore, Assistance League, etc. Most of these thrift stores get new donations everyday of hundreds of unused stuff, not only playing cards. I also collect old LP Vinyl Records which old people donate.
But if dont have time, sure, go to Dollar Tree, 99 Cents Only, Dollar General, Walmart, Costco, Walgreens, etc. They will have brand new nice unused playing cards like Bicycle, Bee, etc.
People in the UK thinking 'but my local only sells plastic bridge cards?'. Once I started travelling, I realised the UK is probably one of only a few countries that DOESN'T sell Bicycle or Bee cards on tap. The shop owners must of thought I was crazy for getting excited and buying out their stores to avoid paying ridiculous shipping fees to get them over from the US, or premium prices from a UK magic shop.

not sure if all half price books stores are like this, but i just got four unique decks from mine! all but one were completely sealed. the one that wasn't was $2.99, two were $3.99, and one was $4.99. they had a pretty great selection, too.

Can't beat bicycle cards for quality to price ratio. Usually like 3 bucks, but sometimes if you buy a multi pack or a brick you get them for less than half of that. Or if you don't need very many just steal one from Walmart every once and awhile. No security strip.
i love playing cards i buy good cards but i like buying cheap cards to try new tricks but sadly in aus we have a brand of cards called queens slippers which are good but i like the look of America bicycle decks but you gave me a great idea of going to the $2 stores near by so thank you for that and i love your videos

I went to my local $-store and got the WORST playing cards I've ever seen or used. I tried the 1:1 shuffle like you did -- one card split its layers -- it WOULD NOT shuffle the way you showed -- AT ALL; compete crap! So then I went to a regular store and paid $3-4 per deck for Bicycle Cards -- THEY are great, but a little stiff. Oh, the Bad Cards were ..... wait for it .... made in China; the good cards were made in USA. I have NEVER SEEN "leftover stock" from Casinos, anywhere; but now I'll look harder for them! Informative video!
How long do you use a deck? How do you know when to change? I've seen a few tricks on YT where they specify to use older cards.

The dollarama by my house sells the bicycle mariners and the bicycle autumns for $3. Pretty stoked about that. And they always have them.
