A happy Imbolc to you! This year I am going to be creating Sabbath videos where I show you how I celebrate and what I am going to do! So i hope you enjoy them!
I also hope you have a lovely time celebrating whatever you do! Also remember you DON'T have to celebrate imbolc on the exact day, you can celebrate starting today and in the few weeks that pass! It is about the energy in the air, and it will only get stronger from now on!

Just beautiful, Alywin! I have always worried about doing the Sabbats “correctly”, or by-the -book, and the joy went out of it. I love how you take the basic feel of the holiday and then do what brings you joy in that season and moment. Gorgeous music! I’m going to try a dolly this year instead of a cross. That resonates so much! 🧚

I'll always remember doing my first ever ritual and it had about 30 items, a paragraph to read (didn't understand half of what was written) and I remember thinking to myself, how will this ever work if I am not truly invested in it with what I love, understand and can relate to!! Happy Imbolc! I'm just learning about the symbolism of the pagan festivals as they occur throughout last and the current year. I thought I would share some of my recent discoveries:
I celebrate the lunar New Year with the Vietnamese community at the Buddhist temple I attend. I was delighted to discover that lunar New Year's day is February 1st, the same as Imbolc! Viet new year is the celebration of the return of spring, the temple is always full of spring flowering cut tree branches that have been coaxed into bloom by the monks. We also have a special service set aside to feed the hungry Ghost and remember the ancestors, those who have passed on, very much like Samhain. I'm excited to see the convergence of western and eastern traditions.

I just started my Spring Cleaning, in honor of Brigid, who also happens to be my patron goddess! I decided to listen to some witchy talk, and Poof! There you were! I think I'm going to make my dolly with hemp twine, and a little acorn cap.

So I was born in spring and I always had a strong connection with it. I just love it (and autumn). So months before spring starts I can already feel it come and I keep telling people it is here soon.
I am generally happier and more energized.
I see all those flowers growing, freshly grown grass, few more birds, few more leaves.
But I will be missing the fact it is dark in the afternoon or that it is the perfect temperature. No sweating.

You have got to be the coolest person I have ever seen .Thank you for giving us a glimpse into this lifestyle ,I will soon be retired and plan on expanding my craft and incorporating some of the things you do,they seem so calming and relaxing,one of the things I love to do is go barefoot in my garden to feel the energy the earth offers .

This was lovely. I especially liked the bit about honouring our bodies if we're still feeling too tired to do much despite the pressure from society to be productive from the 1st January onwards. I've been ill for the past few weeks and although I'm improving I still feel quite tired and under the weather so I'm building back up slowly. I've been doing some planning, journaling, painting and a few brief stints outside to get fresh air which all helps.
When I see your videos I sense peace, calm, tranquility. I enjoy seeing your videos.

You my friend are a breath of spring on this day , I went out to breathe in the new air but my nostrils stuck together at -15 degrees ! I can feel the changes coming , the days are changing the sun ☀️ is at a different angle in the early morn .🙏❤️🎩

I am new to your channel. I have dabbled in nature paganism/wicca/Celtic Shamanism for decades. You make the "rituals" so accessable and gentle and loving! Thank you for making these videos! @@AlwynOak It was absolutely lovely. ☺️ I do it just before bed after clearing my chakras. It helps circulation, centering ones self, breathing deeply and mindfulness. Everything you need for a peaceful nights rest. I'm super excited for the snow we are about to get in MI, with in the next few days! I'm hoping it's to my knees at least! It will be more like snow trudging instead of walking, but it'll be barefoot and beautiful nonetheless. Thank you again. It will always be my "go to tune" for my snowy adventures. 💖

Thanks for this wonderful video 💐💐💐 Your beautiful piece made me think of people who are gone now, in particular my granny and how she made wonderful jam every year without fail .. also the Brigid dolls made my crown tingle because my sister and I used to make them as children and I’d long forgotten about them... and curiously a couple of weeks ago I kept dreaming of silver birch trees and seeing them as flashes and so I looked them up and they are symbolic of Brigid 💝💝💝
