Not to mention that you need to be careful with the liquid, because if the brush is too wet, the gel is not gonna work properly. 🤦🏽‍♀️

      @BreannaBaozi 5 лет назад +107

    I use the poly gel all the time and yes there is prep involved however it's not like with acrylic prep nails as usual but bonder is not necessary

    • @DragonLuver44
      @DragonLuver44 4 года назад

      Yes bonder is necessary! So the polygel lasts longer.

      Okay I know this comment is from like a year ago but I have some advice. If fake nails aren't sticking as well it usually means your nailbeds are oily. If you dehydrate them with acetone before you start the nails should stay much longer. 👍

    • @Haruchan1996
      @Haruchan1996 3 года назад +2

      @@turtle-fh9ox so dehydrating with acetone works? I don’t need to file them with a buffer?

    • @jbad3355
      @jbad3355 3 года назад +5

      @@Haruchan1996 you would need to do both. so file ur nail beds and then apply acetone just with a q-tip to act as a dehydrator. best of luck with ur next set of nails!

    They actually make nail forms that you don't pop off after curing them,you just file down the tip to the shape and length that you want. You can make some really cool nail art inside of the form too with different acrylic or gel colors. They're really cool!

    Can I use dip powder with polygel nails? How would I prep the poly gel nail for the dip ?

    • @strawsberrycow4367
      @strawsberrycow4367 3 года назад

      Yes, you can, although I would not recommend, dipping powder creates an another layer on top of the poly gel nails so it will make it thicker now thicker means there will be more risks of falling if faster so to sum that up yes, if you want it for that moment and not want it to last more than 2~3 weeks, it works

    I would love to try polygel, however I feel it won’t be strong enough. I don’t do heavy duty stuff nor do I recklessly forget I have fake nails on, but from the past experience of thin hard gel, I believe polygel just wouldn’t do.
    Have you tried polygel and what are your thoughts on my concerns?

    • @lisafay2296
      @lisafay2296 4 года назад +1

      pinkpam it’s actually very durable. I’m rough with my hands and they stay on just as long as acrylics. Also depends on which brand you use. I filmed a vid using MODELONES poly gel if you’re interested ruclips.net/video/5eEuxC3p59I/видео.html 🙂
