As a New Zealander. I am so proud of Sam Neill. He has earned his place among the greats in acting. People don't realise how long he's actually been around. He was in everything in the 80's. He was a main character in the original Jurassic Park film. Not to mention everything he's done back home here. So proud of you Sam. You've done an amazing job mate!! Keep it up!!
He had an amazing reputation outside of NZ before Jurassic Park, at least he did in the UK. We went to see Jurassic Park because *he* was in it. Fantastic actor and all around amazing man.
If you haven't already. Watch his homegrown film called, "Hunt for the Wilderpeople". It's awesome. And super funny too. And also stars the large Māori kid named Julian Dennison from Deadpool 3? You won't be disappointed. Just a quick heads up though, it has alot of kiwi slang in it you might not get but I'm sure you guys will.
Thanks! Graham Norton does: a) such a remarkable job in getting guests who are FUN as well as open and tolerant of other guests, and b) an astonishing job at reserch - particularly photographic and video from the past. Much much work must be done by the program before each show begins - but it is so effervescent!
Danny DeVito was my first director, and a better introduction to the film industry I could not have had. our one and only unscripted scene a wonderful introduction to improv thanks to his natual comedic instincts.
Sam Neil-“Riley Ace of Spies” and “My Brilliant Career.” Loved the wilder people as well. Miranda Hart is hilarious and refreshingly beautiful. Everyone else was fabulous too. In the worst year of my life I found Graham Norton and it’s been a lifesaver.
@@OP-1000 well, the only one I knew on that particular show was Danny Devito ,but since more of his guests are mostly from the UK I’m mostly not aquatinted with them.
I have no real explanation, but when someone hits a really great, beautiful, long note I sometimes get tears in my eyes 🥲 Doesn't even have to be a sad song or anything.. Anyway, thanks Amber Riley for making me cry 😭😅
I think this is my favorite episode of all time! The only thing that’s missing is Greg Davies. They are all so hysterical! Ewan McGregor is the funniest, most talented guy!
As a newcomer Sam is a bit nervous and doesn't quite know what to expect, or what is expected of him, but he's loosened up pretty quickly by the warm atmosphere. It's very rare I think for anyone to feel truly uncomfortable in this show.
I watch this show quite often, but I never did see this episode. This show was brilliant, topped off by that wonderful performance by Amber Riley. I am going to try and find Ewan's movie and Sam's movie as well as Danny's short film. They look wonderful.
Having met and worked with him on a short film in the wake of the Oscar sweeping movie Cuckoo's Nest, I can honestly say that both he and Rhea Perlman are two of the nicest people in show business. His Louie DePalma that's some fine acting there.
kinda reminds me of that one clip where someone in britain sees a man walking his emu and is like "its no fuckin ostrich its a fuckin emu and his name is horras and hes an asshole!" xDDDD
That song...where do I know that song from? And then I remembered, one of saddest scenes I've ever seen, the great Paul Newman sings it when he finds out his mom passed away in "Cool Hand Luke". Great frickin' movie, amazing scene.
Because you live under a rock??????? Or you were born after 2004 or something even more horrendous and regrettable like that????!!!!??!! Lololol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ sorry but there’s NO WAY that you could have NEVER heard of ANY of these people- or at least not have heard of ANYONE on Graham Norton *ever* ……… 🥴😵💫😱😴
@@lovelyjanuary ya, I'm probably twice your age, and stopped watching TV about 20 years ago. So ya, I know maybe a couple of these people. Must mostly it's just British tv stars. And if you know about them, it's only because you're a brainless trend following plebe.
As always a fantastic show, but Amber Riley's voice really isn't that fantastic. I find it a bit nasal and tinny compared to the richness and depth of Jennifer Hudson and Sarah Ikumu
Jennifer Hudson was only okay. Jennifer Holiday was the best and you could feel the character‘s painful history when she played the part AND sang that song . With Hudson and Riley, they can hit some of the notes, but they can’t emote the feeling of the character’s history.
Thank you. I really could listen to John Bishop all day. He is funny and his accent for me is wonderful. Ewan and Sam playing and singing. Now I love them more than ever. Ewan is really one of the most talented people on the planet. A really fun show. A Scot, A New Zealander, Brits, Irish and little Danny out of little america. No one picked up on his comment and he is unfamiliar so was cautious to go farther when he said his dog was Mexican. I think he wanted to make a crack about Trump's racism and his projected Wall.
The Ukelele duet was simply great.

Great group of stars, all so talented. Sam Neill looks so good.
One of the rare instances when I absolutely adore every person on that sofa. What a great night . . .
Thx to Amber Riley for acknowledging the wonderful musicians. Very classy gesture.
First time watching Graham Norton in fine quality. Thanks Shadow Heart

Like a group of friends just having fun
I love that John and Sam “went there”, when Miranda said bush 🤣🤣🤣

Same for me.
I didn’t know any of the guests so I wasn’t prepared to be so entertained. Graham has the knack of making each show more entertaining than the last.
Any guest?

I bet u did not watch star wars, merlin and Jurassic park
Really? You don't know Ewan McGregor? What rock you under?

I have no real explanation, but when someone hits a really great, beautiful, long note I sometimes get tears in my eyes 🥲 Doesn't even have to be a sad song or anything..
Anyway, thanks Amber Riley for making me cry 😭😅
i got goosebumps several times during that song.....wow.
OMG I thought I was the only one!!! Have you watched the one when U2 is on the show??? Mate! I cried like a freaking baby😂😂
It's normal. Long notes are heavy with emotion.
If I were the type to have parties, I would want Graham Norton at every one to keep things rolling.
I think this is my favorite episode of all time! The only thing that’s missing is Greg Davies. They are all so hysterical! Ewan McGregor is the funniest, most talented guy!
Ewan is so comfortable in his own skin, such a great guy.
Greg Davies absolutely 💯
Love Greg!
Man that scene in JPark still gives me goosies
Hunt for the wildebeest was a fantastic film!! No seriously . . . start to stop, I never wanted it to end. . .
WOW ! Love your shows Graham thank u for all the good laughs during all these sad times ❤️
Not sure I've seen this one. Thank you for uploading!!
Amber was right. I now love her! She blew me away. WOW!!!
My Sam Neill fandom is entirely based on his love of animals.
Ewan M is just so beautiful esp when he smile/laugh..john n miranda are just so funny. Sam is very proper gentleman
That scene from the JP still today with the music and everything gives me shivers every time!
Great group of people. Great chemistry.
have seen every episode of GN and this is pretty of my top fave couches of all episodes.
Sam Neill so handsome and a wonderful actor.
Wow, Amber can sing!
Thanks for posting.

It seemed that having his friend there beside him helped him to relax and open up.
If I was him I would ease up rather quickly with a drink and Miranda.
WZUP????
Great show

Graham left out Louis’s greatest role Louie DePalma in Taxi…just the best and funniest bad guy.

I loved that Ewan kissed the 3 of them, not just the woman
I could watch a whole episode of Sam just naming his animals! It's way funnier than it should be
The audience loved amber Riley’s performance. What a great reception. A spectacular couch as always
YALLAH!!!!
I found it charming. He's so comfortable with his un-Hollywood life.
Fabulous entertainment..thanks Graham
I agree Greg Davies
Is fantastic as is Miriam Margoyles.
Brilliant
Sooooo 5 years later... no reboot of Miranda with Sam Neill

So glad that style of singing phased out...she's basically shouting at the mic.
Should have got Hugh Dennis to do the Dinosaur.....

I've met the m'lady guy!
I don't believe this is the full show. Danny told a story about being bitten in the balls by a monkey, and that is not on here!
I had no idea Sam Neil wasn't American!
