I seem to be the only one in the comments who cares about this but when I watch a video about suppressors, I generally expect to hear audio of them actually being shot...db readings are also extremely helpful and IMO should be a given when talking about a suppressor.
agreed on the shooting part. this vid is 3mo old, we now do much more shooting in front of the cam as we find people do like to see and hear even tho the cam does not capture that sound so well. DB puts a number to the volume and is nice but is IMO not the best info in fact i find it miss leading. we will do a vid on just that soon. thanks for watching
Agreed. There's almost no videos on suppressors that I've seen, that actually test the decibel reduction
@jonquirk9582 because they are all basically the same
The information ya'll bring is unique and experience backed. Literally no one else comes remotely close on RUclips. Thank you!!!!
Awesome video, I pray this channel grows and y’all keep the amazing work going.

Great job on the information and your honest opinion as of now…
Thank you for your time..
as of now! well said! we have been testing some cool stuff lately! =) Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I have the ventum in 556 and 762 being form 3 today…
Just found this channel immediately subscribed. Great job!!!
thank you!
Great info, thanks Rob.
what is the best way to contact you all? we reached out via your web sight and have not herd back. maybe there is a marketing director we could connect with?
@Ertactical tern on spelt checkers afore sayin stuff
I've thought about the Hux and still do. I'm glad I watched the back pressure video, I was set to buy an AAC as my first...stopped me, thank you.
Glad we could help! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Still loving each vid you are putting out.

I love watching new guntubers explode despite the algo. Stay humble and keep on keeping on, looking forward to the next test!
thank you, so kind! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Have several 30 cal cans and the ventum has become my favorite to shoot even on shorter 556 platforms. Sounds great (especially to the shooter outdoors), back pressure/gas to the face is almost nothing (gas is minimal even on guns like the x95 where it’s a real issue), and sparking largely goes away after a few hundred rounds (hux is pretty open about that due to the manufacturing process). Another solid video Sir!
Agreed, the Ventum is a good low back pressure can. Thanks for watching 🍻
Hey Rob, done a few classes with you, and due for another, good to see you move to other facets of the gunner world. This topic I'm interested in. You got a supported here Brother....
Thanks bother! honored to have trained clients among the ranks! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I’m interested in all three of these are next on my list to get
I like it! I subscribed!
I would probably lean toward the Dead Air Nomad L, because the whole reason, for my getting a suppressor is to be super quiet. And we all want the most sound suppression possible. Plus, I don't want the expense of multiple cans & tax stamps! And the universal mounting system is a great PRO in my book.
totally agreed!
You are great in front of the camera. I hope your channel explodes in popularity
Thank you!! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I love this, I have the Ventum 762 waiting for approval.
you'll love it! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I Have the Otter creek Polo 30 on my 11.5 ...absolutely love it
great can. NO LONGER my Fav tho.
@@Ertactical what is your favorite
CGS Hyperion gives the Nomad L a run for its money. Great videos man really digging your channel
solid intel! ill reach out to them. Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Thanks Rob.
Thanks for watching!
Here to vouch for the Ventum, excellent can, extremely versatile
Yeah so versatile you can use it as a sparkler.
Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I love the concept of removable core. It I super heavy for what it is since it’s titanium. Sound and flash suppression are underwhelming though
@@jccarp2the core is titanium but the rest of the can is steel that’s why it’s heavier. I have several 30 cal cans including the ventum and personally I think it sounds great to the shooter and the “sparking” gets way better after higher round counts.
Oh, something else to consider, maybe reach out to High Speed Ballistics to get high speed footage of where and how gasses escape from a typical AR and suppressor. It'd be nice to know if things like gas busting charging handles actually work, or if "enhanced bolts" like the LMT, blow off more gas from the ejection port.
that would be sick! Ill see about getting that footage! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
You can watch a video on hop's page about just that. He tests a bunch of charging handles.
I have a Banish 30 and 46. I really enjoy them on my bolt guns. Lite and quiet. just a thought.
I’m in a similar boat with my sandman s on my 300blk hosts and my polonium k is currently sitting in jail. Glad I made a good decision on the polo k because there are a ton of new cans coming to market that aren’t big names
totally! I keep finding more and more companies to test and some are doing really cool stuff! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Love the hux...
Another great video. I would like to see a test of SilercerCo Hybrid 46M on different caliber guns from 45 ACP down to .223. Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated!
My favorite is the CGS Hyperion and the Hyperion K. I run adjustable gas blocks so im not woried about back pressure as much.
Oh yea with adjustable gas blocks it really becomes more of a non problem for sure. Love the hyperion.
My top 3 picks are: Silencerco Velos LBP, TBAC Dominus, and TBAC Ultra 7(in .264 or .30)... I own all 3 of these plus several more but these are my picks.. I on both .264 and .30 on the TBAC Ultra 7 and that is my go to precision rifle can. The Velos LBP is my favorite low backpressure can so far and fits the bill perfectly on my 11.5" and 12.5" AR. the TBAC Dominus is sort of a do all can.. I can run it hard on a 556 AR(it mainly lives on my 14.5" because of it's light weight)and it sounds great with my 8" 300 BLK running subs or supers.
nice! we just filmed a head to head LBP can vid with the VELOS, HUX, B&T and others. will post soon! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
YHM is my go to, and the QD design is amazing.
they have some solid cans.
Definitely lean toward the Ventum
Excellent video
thank you
Hey hoss, you have some bolt bounce @ 3:40.
Ty for vid.
Ill check i out, Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Knights Armament 556 QDC/CRS-PRT as I have four now. Built like a tank. Also, I still have 5 different HUXWRX. One Odessa-9 and one Spectre-9. I love the HUXWRX but the new KAC is crazy.
good info, i don't have any KA cans but ill reach out to them. thank you
I care about back pressure and barrel length. I was trying unsuccessfully to find a YHM turbo 3. No gas in the face and very affordable. In the interim I ordered a radian charging handle that also helps reduce gas in the face.
do you find that this CH helps?
@@ErtacticalI am about to find out as I ordered it for my DD to make sure as it is designed to do that. It is the 556 designed to keep the gas in the face. Just in case it is a partial flow through back pressure.
@@ErtacticalI would recommend just getting an adjustable gas block if you are worried about gas with a can, charging handles do make a difference but it’s not very much
@@tristanrhodes2949 agreed, that’s one of the best ways to handle the increased gas. However, if you plan to run the rifle without a suppressor, then you’ll need to have some type of quick adjustment system. This is where the Riflespeed gas block really does big favors. We made a video on how to mitigate back pressure. And I present a few of my favorite ways. However, there are several ways, especially if you’re going to dedicate the suppressor to the rifle.
@@Ertactical I have the Odin works adjustable gas block and the adjustment screw can be reached from the end of my handguard I just used zip ties and tucked the Allen wrench in my handguard so I can adjust for suppressed/unsuppressed without disassembly
He is the best. Devil is in the details and Rob knows the detail stuff that we can't know until after we buy the stuff
Love ya bro! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Thanks so much for the priceless info, I forget what's the thread pitch common for most muzzle devices and plug and play suppressors???
thanks for the positive feed back.. on 556 1/2x28 and on 308 5/8x24 and on HUB can mounts, 1.375x24 (also expressed as 1 3/8x24) TPI
Agree an the Sandman L being awesome. Griffin Armament SPR reflex suppressor is my favorite on the 5.56 SBR. You should check out the Witt Machine Cannooter Valve. It's a tiny suppressors that worked well with my Tavor. (And the only Witt Machine suppressor we tried that didn't suck)
good intel, Ill look into em. thank you for your positive feed back and support =)
SilencerCo Velos and CAT WB are my picks
Def +1 on cat wb. Got to try one irl and now backordered one to replace my rc2 with.
Waiting for the CAT ODB 718 to come back in stock.
The velos 7.62 is in stock but idk anymore if I can justify 2x price of something like the enticer
Where is the velos in stock?
@@dissgustingwhere is the velos in stock?
My personal Favorite is the AB supressor's line, the quietest i've heard with a pleasant tone, but its got all the back pressure lol. I'd love for you to test those out on platforms that don't mind the extra pressure
that is one of maybe 3 companies we are reaching out to and hearing nothing back from.. we will keep trying. thanks for the support
wonder how a wider frame with baffles and filaments of some sort would work or the addition of little hole/holes placed in specific baffle chambers would affect the gas escaping? what causes and decreases back pressure?
I will agree with you and can attest, that Nomad L is one of the quietest if not the quietest, suppressors I've ever heard. I shoot competition PRS and a guy in one of my squads was running a Nomad L on a 6.5 Creedmoor. Sounded like a mouse trap snapping.
100%! Thank you for your feed back and positive comments.
Mouse trap snapping? Wow
Rob, can you also do an over view of how you mount your suppressors and what your preferred mounting system is and why. Thank you for the great content.
thanks! yes we will film that soon! its super imported and subjective. But i will def give my thoughts on it soon. Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Yes to the overview of mounting systems
@@JAM4MORE sold! 😊🙌🏻
I’m still trying to decide on a suppressor for a 6.5 CM gas gun (LMT) down to 2 options the DA Nomad L or Griffin PSR 7 (like the OTB design) The PSR is supposed to be reduced BP can just not too many videos on that on. Thinking with a EBrake it could lower the pressure a bit……. Decisions Decisions lol
I wish I could help but i have no hands on time with Griffen cans. Ill reach out to them to see if i can get some! Glad you are enjoying the channel! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Thanks for the great content. Was never really interested in a suppressor until most recently when the approval timeline by the ATF has been significantly reduced. For those of us that have an AK 47 as well as an AR 15, which suppressor would you recommend that can do double duty? I would also like to see how issues with concentricity can be resolved on an AK rifle. How to determine if you even have an issue? I believe that would make a great video content.
great call! we will keep the vids coming. Thank you for your feed back and positive comments.
@@Ertactical I just did a lot research looking for a M14x1 LH Muzzle device for a ASR connection and the only thing that came was the Lantac Dragon 7.62 M14x1 Muzzle device. It's not available anywhere. Looks like the ASR mounting solution is not for me unless I get the barrel re-threaded to 5/8x 24.
I have a dedicated suppressor host for my polonium k. I found a BRT adjusted gas tube to help considerably with gas to the face. If anyone wants to run a rifle suppressed only, i htink that or a smaller gas port barrel are good ways to mitigate the issue to a degree.
will it run with out the can? after you install that gas tube?
So the gas tube basically creates a smaller gas port so obviously if you have a dedicated suppressor rifle, you will need a smaller gas port. But you can get it done custom so that it will run 50-50 for both. So if your gas port is like a 0.076 and your suppressor only gas port is 0.0625 then you might have a 0.069 gas port for the gas tube if you intend to run both
@@ForceRecon112 hmmmm I see problems with this. If i use my rifle speed gas block and position 10 is uncanned and 3 is caned. if i set it to position 7 it will not hold open on the last round and some times not even feed the second round. I have lots more to say on this topic and prob should make a vid on it.. but I like the idea of many new ways to fight back on back pressure.
So glad out of the three .30 cal cans I have, the Nomad L is one of them. That can sounds amazing with almost everything. I also put the ebrake on mine. It may help a tiny bit with the back pressure? Length does suck, but all my shooting is done from a bench with a bipod so I don't care about length.
agreed!
Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I'm trying to find one suppressor to swap between 556, and 9 mm.....think the Nomad is the answer??
@@markm592 certainly not. It's not big enough for 9mm
Also never shoot pistol through a rifle can
@loneczgunner6562 thanks man! Looks like I have to do waaaay more research. I don't know much about suppressors, except that I want one.
I figured a 30 cal can would be rated for any 30 caliber bullet, and if it's rated for a rifle, then it should be no problem on a pistol
Great video. The regular polonium 5.56 is rated down to a 10.3 barrel per their site. Maybe back pressure is an issue. I compared it to an old huntertown arms kestrel and besides weight savings , the sound was virtually identical. In other words , the polonium is a nice can, i was personally expecting a sound difference on a 11.5” when comparing it to that older can but realistically its about the same.
I spoke with the owner on this and he said no BBL restrictions on both of them on 556. thank you for your support!
@@Ertactical interesting, i hope they can update the website then. Thanks!
I'm debating the Ventum or Velos. Can't wait to see your future testing. Also...have you tested any of the new sig LBP suppressors yet? I just mounted an SLXC to a short barrel but have yet to take it to the range...
Love it! we just filmed that! the low back pressure cans head to head! PS a new winner was found! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!

Preach Brother!! Love my Nomad L and Ventum 762... Dont have the Otter because of the back pressure issue, but if I did want a K can, Id prob lean towards the Sandman K... But the K's just dont appeal to me...
Just be aware, the Sandman K is LOUD. The OCL Polonium K is much more quiet, surprisingly quiet for a K can.

I’m currently saving for the ventum 762, but I’m not sure what hub device I want to go with. I’m leaning towards the Griffin Gate Lok because my rifles already have a compatible birdcage on them.
we will be doing a mounting option vid soon. lots to know! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Rob, any opinion on the Cobalt Kinetics Scrambler? Backpressure?
I appreciate your videos dropping knowledge with experience! I’m really curious about your thoughts/opinions on griffin cans. I have the “high flow” Optimus 9 and Recce 5 cans but have never been able to compare them. What’s your experience, or do you have any with them? Thanks!!
thanks! we had a call with them yesterday, they will be sending some out for testing. stay tuned! Thank you for your positive feed back and support.
@@Ertactical I’ll be looking forward to it! I’m looking to grab some more cans and trying to see if I stick with griffin or try some new stuff. Will be following closely. You guys are answering all the unanswered suppressor questions. Much appreciated!
I want a Hux for a permanent mount on my home defense AR so I'm thinking the Hux 556k should be best for me. I'll never be swapping between different platforms.
We’re going to film a video very soon on exactly this topic. Stay tuned for more.
Highly recommend CATs ODB and WB. They set the new standard.
I’m waiting on my odb 718. Still haven’t purchased the wb yet. Can find one in stock

I do have one 762 and one 556 ventum on order. they both are papered at atf so just waiting on the atf.
I have the 762 not the 556.. i have seen them come out but i am happy with the 762.. if they offer me the 556 ill take it but i don't think ill be buying one.
I’m highly interested in the Dead Air Nomad L since I want the most suppression possible. I’m tending to the Ti version since it’s going on a hunting rifle but also curious if the sound difference between steel and Titanium is noticeable? Any chance you can shoot and compare them to each other side by side?
i do not hear a dif at all but the there some BBL l restrictions on the Ti.. other than that the TI is the way to go for sure!
I’m looking for a dedicated suppressor for a Q mini fix in 300 Blackout. I think you just sold me on the Nomad L.
Thank you for the kind words and support!
Love to see the AB A10 556 warthog review👍👍
me to, they are not responding to us. please email them requesting they send a can for review.
There's not alot of good reviews on the AB 10 out there. One channel burnt the baffles out of one doing full auto mag dumps
My dad was looking for his first suppressor he wanted it for his 243 bolt action for thermal hunting... he wanted the quietest can he could get... didn't care about length preferred something lighter... told him to get a nomad Lti, hyperion or diligent defense enticer Lti.. he went to the store and the guy behind the counter told him those were junk an he needed a sandman s..
🤦♂️ so now he has a sandman S an we were going to put a smaller end cap on it to try an help bring the noise down a little.... but the dude at the shop who also cut an threaded his barrel messed that up also... so anything smaller than his current end cap an it will hit..
Sounds like he needs a different gun store
Oh man! I am sorry. we need to be careful who we take advice from and who we assume knows what they are talking about. Hopefully with these vids we can help our industry buy things they will be happy with! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Thank you for the work you’re doing on this channel. I’ve been craving a quality channel that covers suppressor testing and comparisons for quite awhile now. Glad I found you! I’m looking everywhere for a OCL Polonium with no luck at all. May check out the Huxwrks as well if I get the opportunity. Thanks again.
Capital Armory and hit the notify. Picked up a Polonium few weeks back there, ship to your door (depending on your state) and GREAT CS.
Thank you, it really dose mean a lot to us! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I've tested the Resonator K against the Ventum 762. Resonator K has the same backpressure as Huxwrx Flow 726 Ti according to Pewscience, but Resonator K is still gassy and ejects cases at 2:00 (versus 1:00 with Polonium and other traditional baffle cans). Ventum 762 ejects at 4:00, softer recoil, no gas to the face, etc...
Even if you use a K short traditional baffle can, it just isn't the same as a flow through.
would love to see the cobalt scrambler, CAT WB and flow 556 Ti
we have the flow K, I don't think we will be doing more HUX cans, we do want CATS but they have sent nothing
wonder how a wider frame with baffles and filaments of some sort would work or the addition of little hole/holes placed in specific baffle chambers would affect the gas escaping?
IDK,, i enjoy the user perspective but i give in to not knowing the engineering side of cans. but I am hungry to learn more =)
Dang I need to bump my suppressor numbers up!!
rookie numbers! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I think that the versatility of suppressor mounts is way bigger for you with the number of cans that you have versus the average person. If you talk to someone that is just going to get one or two suppressors I dont see it being a big deal to throw a HuxWrx muzzle device on the gun, definitely not as much as you like to say that it is.
very true, this is what you need to have a conversation before buying, gotta know what your family size is and needs before recommending a car to them. Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Would love to see you do a comparison of the Ventum 762 to the SiCo Velos LBP 7.62.
that would be a great vid!! good call! we just finished filming a comparison of ALL the reduced BP cans and we found a new winner! stay tuned! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Every gas operated rifle I shoot has an adjustable gas block, so i don’t really care about back pressure. I care about how quiet the silencer is and it being lightweight. Resilient Jolene is a heavyweight sleeper in the silencer universe. Its sound suppression is up there with the OCL hydrogen L, the Hyperion and the nomad L. It’s cheaper than those too.
solid intel, i have not herd of them! Ill reach out and see if we can do some testing! Thank you for your support and positive feed back!

What’s your thoughts on the innovative arms war uppers ? With the switch.
we are currently working with them on some more demo cans, I don't like that the upper only has two positions, if you have a collection of cans than you can pair it to its needs but to assume all cans have the same BP is not the best. I'm up to I think 11 cans now?
- Dead Air Wolverine x2
- Spike's Tactical MRS-2 x1
- SilencerCo Hybrid 46 x1
- SilencerCo Omega 300 x3 (#3 being the BOGO from last year, still hasn't even gotten to the shop)
- SilencerCo Velos 5.56 x1
- SilencerCo Saker 5.56 x1
- SilencerCo Sparrow-Ti x1
- SilencerCo Octane 9 x1
Wolverines for the AK's, love the platform but I need to get one more because I own four AK's and of course between them there's 3 different thread pitches -- M24x1.5 RH: PSA AK-105, M14x1 LH: PSA GF5 & Polish Tantal, M26.5x1.5 LH: Zastava M92. Need to get a third so I don't have to ever change mounts out. The Tantal isn't compatible with any Dead AIr collars without chopping the barrel down to NFA lengths, of course the Polish just have to be weird about it. Thankfully I was able to get ahold of Lantac's AK-ASR variant of their Drakon muzzle brake for use with the SiCo cans.
The ST suppressor was my first NFA purchase along with the Compressor rifle it came with. Got that bad boy all the way back in 2012, early adopter of 300 Blackout here.
Hybrid was my first multi-use can, got it so I could put it on basically anything below a 50. Have used it on probably 7 or 8 different calibers at this point up to my 45 LC Henry.
The Omega 300's are for 300 Blackout and 308 rifles and also for the Tantal mentioned earlier. For the Tantal I decided to play it safe since even though I have a washer on there to keep the muzzle device pretty rock solid it still has a little bit of wiggle to it. AK's gonna AK.
The Velos has been my favorite can since I got it. Run it on every 5.56 (and 5.7) rifle I can from a 10.5" up to 20". Need to get another, will probably go with the K model next.
The Saker I got because I needed a 5.56 can and to get me into the BOGO money zone for the Omega 300 last year. Not a bad can just heavily outclassed by the Velos, although it is considerably lighter.
Sparrow TI I got for 5.7 & 22. Can't even tell it's there it's so lightweight.
- Octane 9 was from the BOGO two years ago, it's a permanent fixture on my MPX now.
Definitely a good collection you're growing there. Yeah, the Velos was definitely impressive during our backpressure test and we look forward to putting more rounds through it. Thanks for watching 🍻
@@SilencerSyndicate Thanks! I might take a look at the Ventum as well. Like you mention in your videos, forcing proprietary mounts/muzzle devices isn't something I'm a fan of which is why I've gravitated so heavily toward the hub size cans. Which incidentally isn't even something I knew about when I bought the Hybrid as my first multi-rifle can. I just wanted a 45 cal can with good reviews and I liked the way it looked. Glad my somewhat ignorant past self accidentally made a great decision to get into the hub size & ASR ecosystem. Since the Ventum is hub size and I happen to have a spare Bravo ASR mount laying around from my Hybrid now being parked on either my 338 or 45 LC it's in serious contention with the Velos K for my next purchase.
solid collection! Thank you for your positive feed back and support.
How do these compare to Silencer Central’s Banish 30? Anyone out there have an opinion on Banish suppressors?
great Q, we don't currently have one but are chatting with them now about getting some. stayed tuned
I have been very impressed by diligent defense cans. Like you the nomad L was my go to quiet can but the Enticer L beat out the nomad just for the fact of Price and Quality that comes with Diligent Defense. And the suddle to me noise advantage.
Would you suggest the polonium k for a short 300 blk build? I'm looking for something short & quiet, low back pressure, light weight. In that Order. I know youbsaid it has high back pressure but I'm not sure if I can find one suppressor with everything I'm looking for.
Good Q, we will be doing some vids on 300 blk soon
Polonium K won’t work for 300blk. You’d need the Polonium 30.
@@kLIMA4 thank you!
I have two Form 1 Suppressors I built 5 and 6 years ago. Both are Hollywood quiet with subsonic ammo.
I would post my design for a multi caliber suppressor (only difference is the diameter of the center bore), but youtube will not let me link to onedrive or google photos.
They delete any comment that links to my files.
yeah gotta be careful with this new world where we don't have a 1st Amendment. Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
What’s the “best” .556 suppressor for a left handed shooter using a righty rifle? Would assume a huxworks to keep back pressure and gas out of the face.
check out the VELOS 556 and 556K or the B&T SRBS cans
@@Ertactical thanks allot! Would a 12.5” make a big difference?
@@hotwater8473 you'll love it
Try out the wb or odb cat suppressors and review them please
We've reached out to them, we'll see if they send some for testing. Thanks for watching 🍻
we don't have one but are reaching out to them currently. Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
I'm a suppressor enjoyer
me too =) Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
If you guys are after educating prospective suppressor buyers, I'd hope you guys would incorporate comparing your experiences with the test results and analysis of PewScience. That way you aren't completely reliant on your subjective opinions on each suppressor, you can actually compare and/or validate your experience with concrete, accurate suppressor testing data, that is free to the public
Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Do you think the cgs six is a solid can for an 11.5 556
IDK, i don't have one but i have reached out to them.. Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Yes
