I love what you say in the description of this video. I recognize your roller coaster of feelings. I too have a strong willed, athletic horse who is a challenge to work and play with. We have breakthroughs and setbacks too, all the time. Your evolving perspective of “day one” and “day two” is very inspiring.
@@DawnSChampion I totally understand if you don’t feel like sharing why you aren’t interested in doing Tevis, but I’m definitely interested. Clearly it’s way more than twice the organizational hassle (rider and crew) of a 50 mile race. And I’ve read it’s hard on long backed horses (if that applies to Lasair). And that it’s an insane amount of downhill riding, which is hard on horses (harder than uphill). I myself would hate riding for hours in the dark. And I could never ride trails that drop off so steeply on one side. I can’t walk or drive along steep drop offs either. Not a horse thing!

Nothing like hearing the rhythm of a horse at ease within himself, enjoying the moment with their human.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when Lasair let that group of Arabians pass him without getting frustrated, what a huge accomplishment!!
Right?! I was so proud of him! Well...he did snort and tried to pull a bit, but totally respected my light hold of him.
Vyshtia you should be so proud of you both at that improvement in softening his race brain! 🙌🙌🙌
Really brings back memories ! Thank you !
I love watching you guys!
I've just discovered you.. so glad you shared this video, and those words
You are an inspiration to me
Thanks form Italy :)
You're welcome!!
Enjoying this video so much!! I'm curious -- have you done the Tevis or is it a long term goal?
I haven't done Tevis and don't plan on it. =)

He wore Scoots on all his Endurance events. Thank you!
@@DawnSChampion Very cool. Your Scoots videos are what actually turned me on to them. Currently transitioning from Renegades to Scoots.
