Luther is harsh=Luther is a German and not an American. Lol! Lived in Germany for five years and how they wished I would just say what I meant and quit beating around the bush all time 🤣. Yet to my American friends I am considered to be very straightforward. I’m going to read some Luther this year and expect to thoroughly enjoy it. Thanks for the interesting chat.

I think Dr. cooper has another resource on the crossover between Luther and Calvin where he does acknowledge some clarifications on Luther’s views on the Will in Melanchthon and Concord that are developments/departures on Luther in Bondage.

Calvin was a sacramentalist. Calvinists are sacramentarians.

Shocker, Reformed want Luther ONLY when he agrees with them....it comes to no surprise that they are the exact same with Calvin

Anyone who's read a wide swath of his works knows that Luther said all sorts of things!
I think it's slightly absurd to say that Luther would feel more comfortable in today's Rome than in, say, an OPC. Im commenting on 12:55
EDIT: then at 14:55 your guest lists forensic justification, divine monergism, and the bondage of the will as "a few points where Lutherans and Calvinists" have agreement. Yeah yeah just a few minor things. ;)
These aren't exactly small points, but things on which, as ML stated over and again, "the reformation hinged." This is why, no-way no-how, does ML feel more comfortable in a Pope Francis Rome than a conservative (small c) reformed church.
I feel silly for quibbling over statements in a 4 year old interview. Jordan B Cooper is cool, I like him, but I have perceived in him a tendency to overly play up the differences between Calvin & Luther, especially when in conversation with other Lutherans or with EO.
One man's opinion here, of course. What do I know...
    Thanks for this interview.

I think you misspoke. Geneva is part of the FPCNA - Free Presbyterian Church of North America. The RPCNA - Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America has a small seminary in Pittsburgh PA. And I do mean small, their Seminary is in a fairly large house. RPCNA believe in exclusive A Capella singing of Psalms. I'm in the LCMS now, but I still use their Blue Book of Psalms app for daily worship. I'm happily a member of the LCMS now, and I've read and believe what the Book of Concord teaches, but I still think that much of Reformed doctrine is misrepresented by Lutheran Clergy.

Um....no. Whoever gave you that much misinformation should have been slapped on the side of the head. No one, anyone, anytime, anywhere, has ever said Geneva College is run by the Free Presbyterians. Geneva College in Beaver Falls is the RPCNA's four year liberal arts college. I believe you are thinking of their other post-secondary institution in Western PA, which is RPTS in Pittsburgh. Geneva's website, the RPCNA's website and google search could have told you that. Next time the whoever tells you something, double check them...seriously, with that credibility level...I would not believe them saying "it's snowing outside" without looking out the window for myself first.
