Fair play to Fergie for playing actual 140bpm Techno in Kelly's/Lush Portrush N.Ireland and showing how devastating it can be (like a proper Rave), even in a cheesey Trance and Prog House club.
Makes me proud to be from same town. Fantastic, great memories just watching that got the deja vu especially when he talked about the 90s. Very proud of you mate. Ryan Mckillop
Pete, Robert, that was an awesome interview. Great to see Robert doing well in the US. I used to go see Fergie many times in the Met Arena. Im originally from Co. Armagh living in Texas. I’ve been DJing for many years as my musical hobby. Turned 40 this year also, studied music production and then started making tracks and remixes in Ableton this year. Roberts story about taking time out to look inward especially during this Covid period is exactly what I’ve done and yes the simplistic life is the best life, i totally agree. Best of luck to Robert and hopefully cross paths in the US and talk music at some point in the future. Pete, thanks for doing this interview, was great to hear Fergie’s story in full detail, very inspiring!
Pete......Pete......Wow! Best interview I've ever watched. Phew, I cried, I laughed, I gasped, I still am feeling strange. I went to Lush, The Arena etc in the 90's, I don't remember much, but my goodness, watching this has made me think that Fergie is a legend. I would like to wish him all the best for the future. Let him know he's welcome in Ballymena anytime, lol.
Awesome DJ!!! My wife and I went to Caesar’s Palace in 2013 and saw Fergie DJ perform for the first time and since then we have seen him in Washington DC, Atlantic City, Chicago and multiple times in Las Vegas!!! He is “El mejor DJ en el Mundo”! Fergie DJ will be back and we can’t wait too see him again! Great interview and everything will be better soon!
Have known fergie for a very very long time I'd def call him and his big mad bro ken very good friends I used to go to kilwaughter house until it closed then went to the airport inn down to the blue room to watch fergie play live I will always remember the house parties afterwards with some great ppl and famous djs like fergie cleave and Marty c. Great times. And not forgetting your sets in milk and the network PETE. WHAT A LIFE
What an incredible insight, I have been a fan of Fergie for the last 22 years and this answers so many of the questions I had about him! Well done Pete!
Followed the link from the TDV Facebook page , in all honesty my expectation for this interview was low . Pleasantly suprised , familiar with Fergies TDV-Radio 1 phase , did not know of his struggles before heading off to Vegas and his current success. Great Interview !!
Fergie did a Ministry of Sound Annual? I know he did the first disc of Hard Energy and a Headliners album but I don't remember him doing an Annual. Unless he means "Deception" which was on the 2000 Ibiza Annual or he was supposed to mix an Annual but didn't for some reason.
The techno scene always had that snobbery but weirdly with drumcode etc it had a commercial appeal from 2014 to 2018 so fergie may well got to big heights into Berlin and likes but just wasn't to be. His life deserves a documentary at least.
Real Northern Ireland honesty, best interview ever !! TDV is such a legend
Followed Ferg from hard house through too techno, awesome Dj an personality, amazing insight of a interview, techno days were brilliant, much respect
Exactly the same experience of the Arena aged 15, best club ever.

Sniper at work signs haha we still have them in Northern Ireland.
Such a great interview Pete, surely there is a netflix story here!
You cut a bit about the first encounter with Tony touching his chest. I feel its important we know what was Fergies intentions?!
