As a new Aerogardener, this is the best explanation yet of how to begin my second batch. I loved the garden I received last Christmas so much so that I bought a second one. Last night I had fresh basil in my spaghetti sauce. Heavenly! Thanks for such a concise explanation. Crop number 2, here I come! 🙏
Mineral deposits are hard to remove like trying to remove in on a shower glass door. It comes right back or couldn't remove completely like when it was new. I've tried a steaming machine and dental cleaner with short term success. The grower also attract ants and gnats after a few months.
Do you clean your system every other nutrient refill? If you have stubborn mineral deposits you can soak a piece of paper towel in distilled vinegar and let it sit on the spot for a couple of minutes. That should help loosen the deposit.
It is important to clean your areogarden thoroughly every time you start new seedlings. I also give my tub a good rinse every other time I add plant food. To keep things tidy, it is a good idea to give it a nice surface wipe down so that the mineral deposits don't get too out of control. Right now we have herbs growing in ours, so I just limit the cleanings to every other feeding. I find that if you keep on top of things, then the thorough cleaning is only necessary when starting new seedlings.

Have you been able to transfer your pods into a pot? I’m new to this 😅
Exactly the information I needed. As a bonus, I love it when my interests result in seeing a familiar face from another channel. Thank you!
Glad to be of service both here and on our other channels!
I have been thinking about getting one of these. It is awesome they made it dishwasher safe.
I’m in love with mine. 10 minutes of work a month, and I get fresh lettuce every day. I bought a second one.
Thank you for the video. I wish it was as easy when you have 3 months old veggies growing.
thanks this helped me out big time!
Glad to hear it!
Awesome video, I was worried abt what to use and I didn't know it was dishwasher safe!

How often should the aerogarden be cleaned? A few times a year?

can you please tell me what the numbers are for on thepump please
I am not a representative for Aerogarden, but most likely those are model numbers so you can order the correct replacement if necessary.
I use vinegar instead of bleach
Omg. I think I remove the filter and discarded 😢 now what ?
This is surprisingly easy to do! But don't stress about it! You can get a replacement filter. amzn.to/3O9Vvmo
