I have had great success with transplanting stuff to pots outside. Here are are a few things that help. While plants are in the AeroGarden the roots should be trimmed every couple weeks(because they don’t need to look for water/nutrients). I almost always cut the baskets off before transferring to soil so the roots don’t take nearly as much damage. The final and possibly most important thing to transferring to soil is water it every day a lot for the first 3-5 days.
Thank you for this video! I just got mines and the site only has the instructions in words and I went looking for an actual video. So thank you for this. And also showing us how it would actually look as some video explained an already cleaned system. Much appreciated. New subbie
I stumbled across your site while looking for aerogardens site to order more pods i could use my own seeds to replant my aero garden. Loved your freshness and occasional profanity... You sound like my type of friend... Thanks for the tutorial on how to clean my aerogarden... No insult, 10:07 but do you know how funny and entertianingly informative you are... Kudos!!! Most Enjoyable lesson ever Thanks.
This was so helpful! I was needed to take my first harvest out so your instructions on how to do that totally saved my plants (had never heard of root hormone/powder before). Now I just need to clean it and can start a new harvest ❤️
@@TheAdhdGardener my lavender and rosemary that I transplanted is doing pretty good thanks to this video!! I really think the root powder is essential, I’m fairly certain they would not have survived without it. (I let them get HUGE in the aero garden so I’m so impressed they survived the transplant 😂) Used vinegar and cleaned my aero garden and have chamomile, chives, marjoram, and parsley sprouting. Getting ready to move them too! Love your videos! I also have ADHD so when I was looking for gardening advice videos and I saw your channel I immediately followed, you rock ❤️
Thanks for this video. I needed to clean mine since I'm switching to lettuce pods. Using only distilled water in the Aerogarden will eliminate the white scale mineral build up
Your video is helpful for sure! My roots look like yours did! You can take that top lid apart, I had to so I could get the rest of the algae out between. Thank you for your video :)
The top is a two piece. The part with holes. Sometimes roots grow in that too. I say this Because I didn't notice you did that. Or it's my version that I have
you should have dumped that top in the bleach and vinegar solution you had . the bleach would have cleaned it so white . i use unprinted bleach cloths (aka a white bed sheet)let them sit on top on my white table top and stove turns every thing nice and white

What a Sweetie Pie! Thank you lovee! 🫶🏻
Thx for the tip… worked like a dream!!
I trim the roots occasionally, they toughen up a little. less stressful when transplanting n keeps roots outta the filter
Smart move💯
I actually have used antibacterial Dawn dishsoap...then rinsed out really well, used bleach and no problem :)
Very cool. But you need to pry that top piece apart into two pieces :D the roots like to grow right up inside that top lid.
Those roots grow everywhere!
