Brother from another mother! Glamp Man, I'm the Glamping Guy. I look forward to meeting you someday!
Same here Glamping Guy. I have watched a few of your videos over the past couple months. I remember the 'official' presentation you gave on how you got started, I think that was at the Glamping Show?
@@theglampman3785 Yep, that was me at the Glamping Show USA! :D
This video is a gem. Totally under rated. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a million Jared. This was my first shot at a long form content and not sure if it would be taken well. Glad you got a lot from it.
A great video. It gave me all the reasons why I'm not cut out for this business. I have an excellent property to do it , but bottom line , I am an introvert who doesn't enjoy company, noise, and social media.
However , I find the business highly interesting and I enjoy all the videos. Fun to watch , and makes one honest with themselves if they are cut out for this.
Thank you so much @gjm456 for your thoughts and compliment. Of course running a glamping business is not for everyone and here on my channel I do my best to show the audience what it is really like. I am also glad you find it fun to watch, as I sure do have fun making these videos and hope many out there like you are finding it both entertaining and educational.
Hey love from India 🇮🇳… I was looking for a glamorous setup in my farm in south India and this video just came across.. and this is a gem
Thanks for the inputs and motivation
Glad you found it. Thank you.
Great video. I'm at the very beginning of the process and this is perfect! Thanks for your insight
I am happy to hear you got something out of my video. Good luck with your glamping journey.
Great video, thanks. I’m surprised you didn’t mention starting an LLC… we are wondering if we should do that right away before we start. Getting ready to pull the trigger (still researching) renting out our camper and a bell tent site. Would love to do a Hobbit home someday but are not feeling well equipped and struggling to find info.
Hi! How about permits and business insurance for glamping..? Any good recommendations for insurance and civil engineers in NY state? Thank you 🙏
Great advice!
Thanks Susan. Hope it helps in your journey.
You're correct that it's much much harder to get a bad review if you've met the people in person. But there is a HUGE cost to that. Unless you're not a very busy person generally. I'm a very experienced STR host.
thank you
And thanks for commenting positively.
Could you give a range of your average price per night for the 140 sq ft structure you built? And what is your occupancy rate?
Thanks for the help
In New York average pricing is $130-$170 on a weekend, not including cleaning fee. Occupancy rate 2021-2022 over 80%. Last 2 years in the 40% range.
I have a ? Can you really make money with these tiny cabins
Yes it is certainly possible and many people do. The advantage I had is having little up front investment costs. I already had the main house and property under my feet. I also did a lot of the construction so I saved a bunch on building cost.
The way people get involved and lose money is when they invest a lot up front in land or a property, then pay a lot to build something and then underestimate the cash flow coming in from Airbnb.
@@theglampman3785 thanks for that I own my property as well so that’s big I also have been a hobby builder so the building part I got
Help me😅
What's your question Nick?
