Well put. And it certainly puts perspective on how world class skaters almost need to be developed as soon as they learn to walk. It's like the brain and body need to grow into this skill or it never really happens. I know a lot of people feel uneasy about this process. I've certainly had my doubts, especially as far as the Russian system works. But...I don't know how else this can be done. Not with the way we're pushing the sport now.
