As I was listening to this, I kept thinking "None of this is resonating with me." I'm an ENFJ, but I'm also a gay man, so I made peace with and found security in my individual expression of masculinity as an adolescent. I think that's true for much of the LGBT community. We're forced to grapple with fraught, gendered archetypes from a very young age.
In general I have been emotional support for people alot over the years mainly women. Girls have called me alot for a listening ear. On the topic of the hero I'm writing a book and the main character is based on me and he's struggling with the fact that he's the hero. ISFP
16:12 - Probably a dumb question, but what's the difference between how society *feels* about you and how society *thinks* about you? I know society is can be very judgmental, but I can't tell the difference between feeling vs thinking judgments from others. Any examples?
As an INFJ H.S.P. father (67) . i'm more like the joker in the cardgame. For some reason, people always underestimated me. But, what i could not do is to stop the selfdestruction of my partner... At the age of 20, i even started parachute jumping, to see if i was normal..
Beautiful. Thank you girls... Amazing video, very informative and interesting. I hope that you're well I'm perceiving one or two things but I know you're well... Merry Christmas I hope you have a wonderful time and again.. Thank you for the effort.. It's fantastic.
Not intending to hijack the discussion, but it seems that a related topic is that the only desirable masculine archetypes revolve around Te. "Father" is explicitly mentioned as being Te centered. "Hero" isn't specifically identified in the video as being Te or Ti, but it seems to fit much more easily with Te, simply because even if a Ti were able to save the "damsel in distress" she would probably never have foreseen this beforehand. "Son" (identified with Ti) is indeed a masculine archetype, but probably not one that anybody aspires to, as it's pretty much "friendzone-bait" or fodder for comedic relief, a la Big Bang Theory. So a suggestion for a future video: how can men who are Ti, rather than Te-centered, fit into the masculine archetype landscape?
2019: "Gender roles" are a social construct 2020: "Thinker men and feeler women" are a social construct 2021: "Age" is a social construct - children can raise their parents ! 2022: "Species" are a social construct. Let's marry our dogs! 2023: "lifeform" is a social construct....voting rights for vacuum cleaners too! 2024: "social" is a construct too! 2025: "construct" is a construct too! the end
Hello I've been watching for a while now and I'm just not sure it's possible to "tap into" the "inferior" function to "improve yourself" (sounds like such a INFJ thing to say and it's kind of a low blow really). It's really a rouge function that only comes out under extreme stress. As a feeling man I've found the masculinity loathesome my entire life. Also 80% of American males' suffering genital mutilation at the hands of doctors doesn't help: nonreligious circumcision is done more here than anywhere else. Men are most likely in Amerikkka to die from suicide. And for what? To fit into some stupid male stereotype? This video pissed me off.

Very insightful! I hadn't heard of these particular archetypes before it was good to hear about it esp as an INFP man myself!
Fe second slot (IFJ's) also has issues with the father archetype because Te is their PoLR
This channel is 👏 absolutely incredible.

SO STOKED
This was a very good video that I didn’t know I needed, thanks
I love watching how Jessie gets lost in her thoughts and then supresses herself from saying some random shit. Yes, I know this from experience.
INFJ do that. My mom is INFJ and she does that shit too!
ISFP still single I'm shy and suck at initiating contact. Atm I'm also focused on my music/art so don't want to be a father yet
