It doesn’t track great without the rudder. I’ve fished in 1 for of water many times with and I leave my rudder down. It will just kick back if it hits the bottom. No need to pull it up
I stand all the time to sight fish. Also standing sideways to do that is no problem. It’s easier to just stand up regular and use the drive well hole though. I don’t film those type of tests for obvious reasons 😂
You will find this kayak stable if you are an experienced acrobat. I personally don't like to stand because I feel like I am about to flip it any moment. Thats why I pee in a bottle.
I think they should have kept it at $3k. we stocked up on 2022’s so we could sell more at that price. It was a great decision. I think we’ve sold about 50 so far in the last year.
@@SteegeFish Seems most shopes did the same. I can still find 2022's locally for 2999 but have yet to see any 2023's. Hobie has been terrible about available stock for kayaks and accessories.
@@BVDsGoneFishing we ordered about 20 2023’s and only 6 in the new Catalina blue which we sold out of in 2 weeks. We won’t see them again untill 2024. We have some dune 2023’s left and about 8 2022’s left of the 40 we ordered. It’s a very popular kayak down here in the panhandle of Florida. We’ve had little to no problems getting kayaks but there are some accessories we’ve had backordered for months which is unfortunate
For anyone on a budget, the Pelican Getaway 110 is a cheaper option to get you on the water.
Awesome kayak!
Yep!
And I thought we’d get to see more fishing in the flats. How is the fishing?
Maybe the next video. It’s been great but we had giant thunderstorms the day before and it was not a good day when I filmed this 😆
Nice I got my lynx now it’s great platform for me. I had a question do you any after market rod holders that can fit hobie h crate holes?
Hobie sells some that I believe work but I switched to a yakattack blackpak. Yakattack makes rod holders that you could mount to a h crate also
@@SteegeFish thank you
How does it track without the rudder down? I want to get into the shallow water flats and fish in water less than a foot.

@@SteegeFish thank you sir
Is there any differences between the 2022 & 2023 model besides the colors?
No difference in 2022 to 23. Except in 2023 they include fish finder mounting hardware for the lowrance ready plate
What size Hobie cooler bag fits the lynx?
The medium fits well. The large is a little to long for the bow.
What would you prefer the Outback or Lynx? What has a higher position? Thanks
Lynx is higher. I would still prefer my outback in many situations but for quick flats fishing trips where I don’t need a lot of gear I love the lynx
@@SteegeFish thanks
Try standing sideways and take a leak for stability test that is the only time you have to stand

Mine!
Come and get it!
Expensive toy!
It is! Well worth the money in my opinion
Hobie is delusional to charge $3,299.

That is why it is sold out everywhere in early 2022. It is like Luxury cars. Some people simply can afford it.
@@raychoi9495 we offer financing through affirm at our shop too 🙂
My gear weight: 15 pounds.
My weight: Indeterminate.😅
I could definitely free up some room for gear if I lost a little 😅
