    Wow, so beautiful & great to be back on trail with you Jack.
    Love the music & style. Relaxed & meditative.
    Fully on board with your stealth camp approach- would be my choice too.
    The inspiration I needed today before starting a 10 hour work shift - will give me something to contemplate now & anticipate future episodes.

    Looks pretty tame compared to the PCT! But definitely beautiful and unique. Good to see you back on the trail my friend. And as a side benefit, you don’t have to endure my hiking stories because I’ve never been to Japan.😂😂😂 Looking forward to seeing more posts.

    Okay this definitely doesn't look like the PNW woods LOL. Those mountains look fun. Agreed, we need to step our gas station food to those standards

    Nice footage. Purpose of coins being left behind?

      Not sure I believe trail crews collect them for maintenance and support of the infrastructure and offering to the spirits!

    If you wild camped on the Kumano Kodo you’re an embarrassment. I won’t find out because I shut it down as soon as you announced your plans. Did you steal ( borrow ) coins from the trail side shrines ?

    • @HitTheTrailJack
      @HitTheTrailJack  9 месяцев назад

      No I didn’t steal from the shrines. I don’t know why you would attack my character because I found perfectly acceptable places to camp (with permission) on this trail. I in no way impacted any of the historical sites and had the upmost respect.

      Dispersed camping is generally frowned upon on the Kumano Kodo because in the strictest sense most lands are privately owned uniike public lands along most of the American National Scenic Trails. That said, "wild camping" is possible as long as permission is obtained and respect is shown to the owners and other neighboring landholders. It would seem that Jack has taken those necessary steps. Furthermore, I find it reprehensible that anyone would even infer that Jack would steal donations. In my experience following his treks, he is not that kind of person.
