- What if there was a trading indicator that literally predicts the future? Well turns out, there actually is an indicator that predicts the exact future of the price of an asset - and it's pretty damn good at it too. This video is a review of a trading strategy, originally created by Switch Stats - that utilizes this, “Future predicting indicator”. I will also backtest that particular strategy, 150 times just to see how it performs over a long period of time. Let’s get into it.

When I first watched this video, I was still a fresh guy from crypto and after some trials and errors of my experience... And the stuff that happened in my life at school as an engineering student. Here's the problem, depending on the time frame it can give you a different prediction ....even when covering the same period in time. For instance 48 hours ahead, can look different if you are looking at the 15m vs the 30m time frame.
bacause the 'indicator' is a gadget.... pretty useless but fun to look at, allthough it just improves your clutter score.

Trading with an expert is the best strategy for newbies and busy investors who have little or no time to monitor trade..

Yea I’ve learned to not rely on indicators. The best way to trade is to just focus on supply and demand, price action , trend lines. All that sorts of things not indicators .

@@MarioLopez-si8jb yea but if everyone uses trend lines, and quant firms and Prop firms know that. You don’t think there going to be hedging there positions against you? The best quant firms use there own orderflow data and valuation models to form a strategy. They don’t care if the price is “trending” down or not. Yes you can make money trading trend lines. But it will never be that “foot in the dark trade” that sets the top .001% of traders aside from the uneducated technical analysis following retail traders.
@@MarioLopez-si8jb Exactly that supply and demand is super important, especially if you view it as "Order Blocks" or just liquidity zones, cause the job of the market makers at a trading desk is to get the price of the stock to those liquidity zones to grab the liquidity and execute the trades their clients had ordered.

It seems to me that I cant find an entry with this strategy. The candles never touch the top or bottom of the Echo indicaror.. Idk am i doing something wrong?

I've been using this indicator for about a month now and I've noticed it's most effective and accurate in the early parts of the morning, but don't only use that indicator for your trades.

What I can't understand is why the 1Hour on RIOT over the next 20 days is showing an uptrend but on the daily chart it's showing a downtrend over the next 20 days?

you did not mention the stop loss rules for trades. in the backtest did you use the previous candle hi/low or previous swing hi/ow for the trades.
he said whichever is highest (for a long trade) So I guess he picks whichever is closest to the trade entry price

Use it with the ema. If price is below the 200 ema only look for shorts and if price is above the 200 ema only look for longs

If people are looking for an indicator to follow blindly, it has to be tick based…..and cumulative delta is a good one to use. It isn’t even an indicator it is a measure of order flow imbalance, which is on par with what the central bank algos are constantly manipulating and correcting.
Sadly since tradingview does not have any way to measure data by the tick, this is not at all possible

Can try CVD histogram. But not entirely accurate as tradingview does not have tick data.

he is doing this on the 1 minute timeframe. 1m = "1", 1 day = "1D" in the upper left corner next to asset name, you can see the timeframe number

@@jasontucker2062 Yes, but it's a complicated process that requires all the indicators you use to be coded into one single indicator. There're some tradingview devs that you can hire to do that though.

unfortunately there's literally not ONE indicator which can predict the future of price. It's indeed the opposite, that is price predicts the future value of any indicator. That's why they're called indicators, because they INDICATE, not PREDICT. Price action is how you make money in any market folks

You'll find your win rate will be a lot lower as will your profit rate once you factor in spread and commissions. As for the max drawdown of 5.88%, if it's correct, then if you're trading a funded account, chances are, you would have blown it.
These strategies are not meant to be traded just as shown, they're foundations for which you can create yours, maybe by adding price action.
@@pinetrades Problem is though, when you do the backtest and show the results, people don't realize that and then go off and trade it as shown.

He was doing 2% per trade. If that's too much drawdown, just use less per trade. And backtest on an asset and prop firm/broker with low spread/commissions. You're still going to have to put time, effort, and thought into any strategy. Blindly following anything in life is how you get slaughtered.

There is no such thing a future indicator because macro events, sentiment and manipulation play too big of a part in price movement. Find good companies and hold for a medium-long period. Day trading is like playing slot machines unless you are the Tiger Woods of investing.
If you know how to follow the moves made by market manipulators, then you have every chance of making money. And all this can be seen on the stock market charts.
The big companies of today are not the big companies of tomorrow! Markets and marketplaces are always changing. The very long term investment does not exist anymore.
Day trading isike slot machines if you're not willing to put in the work to learn and get better. Sounds like you're not willing to take the time.
You are correct. All indicators are retrospective. Buy and hold worked well when interest rates were declining. Presently it is not a good strategy, depending on your time frame. JNJ, MSFT, CVX are all good buy and hold for the next 10 years, but you may see some huge drawdowns. Do you have 20 years until retirement? Can you tolerate the drawdowns. I sold CVX at 70 in 2014 after I lost 80% of my profit. IMO, right now, there are no good investments. The money is going to be made on the downside. I presently use the Ichimoku as a trend following strategy and it has worked out very, very well. As a trader, trend following strategies have made the most money historically.

It feels good to see the market in green, but just how long until we actually break even, I’m the average retail trader, DCA-ing, buying and holding on to stocks for eons, but it’s like I’m up 5% today and down 17% the next week, Yes the market is very Darwinian, there’s winners and losers, and it’s looking like I’ve been on a losing streak, while others make huge 6figure gains in the same market. So what I do is buy companies that are doing good things, executing on business plans and then short companies that are missing earnings, it’s as simple as that.

I think the market will suffer more downtrends before full recovery, esp. with the inflation, hiked interest rate and looming recession bound to happen 2023, you should understand the market is not just finance and valuation, it’s history, it’s market psychology, it’s understanding how the world moves, which is why at this point in time, it’s ideal to work with an Investment-adviser with an unparalleled track record, from first hand experience, I could say they stand a better chance than most of us ever would and it has been reflecting on my portfolio. I don't have faith in Lux Algo.
60% accuracy for this strategy, it can tell you the direction of the market. But you have to know that you need a t least two weeks for the trade to pan out from the 1 minute, 15m, 30m, 1H and SOMETIMES 2H/3H. I've found good trades on the 15m, 30m and 1H. Still working out the kinks with this strategy, it's better to understand price action as it can be flawed due to the indicator not factoring news or FED events or earnings. Use sparingly.
