Yeah, the monoblack dude on the first match had absolutely no hope. Only real blue control players know the feeling of seeing the opponent do nothing the first 3 turns, on their non-blue deck, and thinking "yep, game's over".
@@Rhapsodies_In_Red the real trick is to play only instants and sorceries. It seems they take much longer to scoop if they don't see any board presence, so you get to torture them a lot longer.
@@MetalHev Sorcery over steel!💀 yeah I don't play creature decks at all really unless I'm just messing around with them(I get bored of them within like 2 matches) I don't know how the mono red guys do it playing that same boring aggro deck over and over but I'm completely cool with handing them L's😂 my go to competitive deck right now is Sultai Control but I have a ton of different ones I play!🧙♂️ whatchu playing?
@@Rhapsodies_In_Red bant control. Endless detour, shigeki, farewells and counters. Just lock the enemy out of the game and kill them with mirrex or something. Some weeks ago I tried to recreate the boros burn deck from last season. I felt actually dirty. It's so retardedly easy to win.
@@MetalHev They must give the aggro players a constant handicap because they feel they need it? 😂 I have a nice Bant Control deck too with Hullbreaker and Teferi and Emperors for a win con, The recursion Control is awesome it takes time to get it just right imo but I play a Jund Shigeki/Urborg Repossession/Dryad's Revival Control deck where you just loop it till they've had enough😂 and some secondary decks are like multiple Reanimators, Copy Invoke, Phyrexian Arena Control(Obnoxiously good) and Golgari Mid range (I think that's the only creature heavy deck I have up my sleeve and ready to go atm) There are so many cool deck ideas to go off right now like I've been trying to come up with my own stuff that gets to Mythic or at least Platinum/Diamond🤘
I can't think of control being meta, I tried many variation of azorius especially deck that you share but winning ratio is always close to 50, 60% at best. Mono red is just so dominant you got to be lucky to win even running 4 depopulate and 1 temporary lockdown its ridiculous.. I would love a control deck to be good but cant really find one. Do you have a recommendations?
if you are winning close to 60% of your games, then control is in a good position. control isnt meta, but you are doing just fine if you can push above a 50% win rate
I was looking for a deck for Standard Event. I wanted to play exactly UW Control. Cuz I played Esper and went 7-0. I made a lot of UW Control decks. And they had a good winrate. But frankly, I can't rely on them 100%. Because in Std Event we lose money if we make a mistake. That's why I made and tested this deck. I went 7-1, but it could be 8-0 if I didn't make mistake. 35:40 I didn't consider Otawara. :( I think I would go with this deck in Event, if I played one more session. The deck worked very well, but perhaps it was just luck. I still didn't play Event, but I'm gonna try. Btw, this is the first time when I played Ossification in UW Control.
