  • Jabari Smith Jr was quickly called a bust last year, but in year 2 with the rockets he's been silently amazing in his role!

The dude is 20 and low key looking nice. The team isn't getting him a bunch of shots, but I think they will as the year goes on. He's probably the second most consistent guy on the team.
I think he's going to be an All Star at least through the years. Good video.

@@zapops2554 Last 2 games Jalen got whooping 7 and 8 points vs crappy teams Spurs and Grizz respectively that's scoring? 😅 If he continues with this single digit scoring trend this season should start giving Cam a shot let him know he's not the guaranteed sg of the team. I hope Jalen proves me wrong but starting to doubt it.

Jabari is a great piece next to Sengun. If HOU gotten Paolo, sengun might not have developed into player he is right now and some players are meant to be on certain organizations. Recently Jabari has accepted Defense and rebounding role so his production has been great and how many 3rd pick overall are okay with less than 8 attempts per game

I think I’m a little higher on Jabari. Ime favors forward play. I stand by the 3 season rule where basically in a players 3rd season we can determine the most probable ceiling for a player. Jabari says he is hitting the gym and is trusting the process. If he develops a drive game and gets to the line more we are talking about an incredible player. The upside is clearly there but I would wait to next season before definitely saying he won’t be a superstar.

    • @LoadManagementMedia

As an Auburn fan, I love to hear that he’s doing better. Even when he was in college, I was concerned about Jabari’s ability to get to the rim. He never really showed any incentive or ability to get inside while at Auburn. So when you said NEVER at 4:06 I couldn’t help but chuckle lol 😂

It was silly to call him a bust given how bad the Rockets were under Silas and that the organization wanted to lose as many games as possible the last 3 seasons(especially last year in the pursuit of Wemby).
Also, he may never put up huge scoring numbers simply because the Rockets have so many other options. The offense right now is run through Alpi and Jalen. And if the latter doesn't pan out, something tells me they'll try to plug Cam in his place.
What's great about Jabari is that he doesn't need to score in order to impact the game. His rebounding, shotblocking, and defense can make him valuable. Whereas when Jalen's shot ain't falling, he's not of much use to the team.

    • @LoadManagementMedia
