Much to the delight of melodic rock fans around the globe,W.E.T. has announced the release of their fourth album, “Retransmission” on January 22, 2021 via Frontiers Music Srl. Core members Jeff Scott Soto, Erik Mårtensson, and Robert Såll deliver another astounding album that will surely be a contender for Melodic Rock Album of the Year in 2021.
W.E.T truly epitomizes what melodic rock has become in the new decade. The key element at the foundation of W.E.T has always been to create a modern melodic hard rock sound that will drive the genre into the future. Combining powerhouse rhythms and top notch production (courtesy of Erik Martensson), the music is equally classic and contemporary. “Retransmission” is nothing else than an absolute milestone,which is well in keeping with the tradition established by the three amazing records that have preceded this one.
Starting with a genre-defining self-titled debut, Robert Såll(the “W” from Work of Art), Erik Mårtensson (the “E” from Eclipse), and JeffScott Soto (the “T” from Talisman) accepted the daunting task to give that debut a follow-up, “Rise Up”. After that stellar follow-up, their third opus, “Earthrage”, cemented a legacy of music which will stand the test of time.

I disagree. I love Jeff and he’s a badass singer and songwriter, but like every other singer, a long time of singing his guts out, his voice has suffered. His range and tone in Talisman was just incredible. But he sings his guts out today as well. I love you, JSS!🙌🏼
@@zimbalist yeah I know, everyone ages in time, but the voice is still there for Jeff Scott Soto. It is natural that he lost his range over the years, but this is called life.
@@zimbalist Hey man, my answer to that is everything is relative ;) Sure, Jeff´s voice is not as crazy as it was 20-30 years ago, BUT it is still quite amazing to this day in and by itself, in my opinion. And relative to many other singers who´ve been singing rock ´n roll for as long as he has - he has aged very, VERY well!
I love this band. 80's sound never gets old to me. Long may it live.

These guys never disappoint. They really focus on quality vocals, just as much as the music. Too many bands make great music, but the vocals suck. Music needs much more of this.

This song is so fresh yet so hard rock heavy metal the chorus is outstanding.....they remind me of a Modern Damn Yankees .....just good music,...jump in the car (preferably a fast one) head out on the highway and when the chorus comes in and hit the gas....and go.

There needs to be a better way to put this kind of music out for others to hear. The shyyt that's is played today isnt even music.
Radio is the US is a shitshow, has been for decades. Every band used to strive to make it in the US. Hopefully streaming radio like Pandora and others play this type of thing. I don't think Sirius does TBH. I have it for a year here and there whenever I get a new Jeep, and I don't think any of the stations there are geared towards this type of music "modern classic rock?", which is a shame. Luckily we have YT to show us the great new music that's out there.

after discovering eclipse, i did some research and found out about this great band w.e.t. followed by talisman, and work of art. its never too late to listen to these amazing bands.
I have not heard a song from W.E.T. that I haven't loved. Great sound and Jeff on vocals is solid as always. Can't wait for the new album to drop.

Very impressive. If only this would get some airplay it would be a hit. Of course that won't happen with rap, hip-hop and even some country music dominating popular music now. It's really sad that great music like this never gets to masses. Get in a commercial or some social media platform to get people to listen.

@@strongbrave I think that may have been true 50 years ago I don't think so anymore. these stations are run by computers and are very narrow formatted. It would be nice if songs like these got some airplay but it just won't happen which is a big reason why many classic bands don't record new music anymore.
