The Scandinavian Defense is one of the oldest recorded openings in chess. From the very first move, black looks to undermine the center control of white after the common e4 move by white.
Nine times out of ten white will capture the pawn on d5 and I recommend that you spend the majority of your time learning the scandinavian defense, assuming that white captures the pawn on d5.
Black then has two options. The first option is the main line which is to recapture the pawn on d5 with his queen. Then after white play Nc3, black can decide to bring his queen to a5 or back to d6. It is considered bad play to retreat back to d8 since the queen just came from that square. You shouldn’t play the scandinavian if you are looking to merely retreat your pieces when they could stay active.
The other response black has is to play Nf6 and not recapture right away on d5. This is done for two reasons. One black is giving up material to build up a stronger center and get better development from their minor pieces. The second reason is that the main line is for white to give back the material and black will have a better developed plan than they would with their queen exposed.

Cool transposition into the Lasker variation of the Scandi by GM Muñoz Pantoja. He won an incredibly resourceful defensive game against GM Stella in this same variation

Navara is an outstanding player and his posture reminds a pastor or a priest. Arms crossed after everymove. He stands up when shaking hands, in the beggining and the end. The opponent was no match. He tought that exchanging everything he could achieve something. This a common mistake when weaker players play against a GM or IM.

First 15 moves , black player is very showy, flashy etc. looking everywhere but gameboard. It is very normal, end of the game he is loosing , and at last moves also defeat was obvious he is trying to do some incomprehensible moves!!! what is he doing at last 4-5 moves ?? can some one enlighten me ??? please

Black is punished here for playing nonchalantly. You cannot take it lightly and give away your pieces against a GM like Navara.

the scandanavian wasn't the error ,it was giving away the bishop pair as well as the exchange also at the very end'he thought he had set up a drawing mechanism but overlooked that the queen was defending b2

plays an offbeat opening, blunders his rook in under 1 second, then starts thinking once hes already lost. Pretty sure I played this guy online before.

Anyway,Munoz looks stupid in the opening, but looks a little bit clever at the endgame,I don't mean his moves are clever, just he seem a bit clever

that sequence leading to blacks rook sacrifice seemed to have ended the game.
