+YuklFPS Yes they are, I was pulling the outer frame and not the pads that rest on your head that part is adjustable, my bad there. The bass I would say is OK for me, but if you are bass heavy or just want more you can buff up your EQs.
+YuklFPS also the sound stage for CS:GO is amazing I use them when I play. The only thing I don't like is that they are open headphones and my house gets pretty loud at times.
Its hard to compare them both becuase the monoprice are closed and the superlux are semi-open, because i have better closed headphones now the monoprice sound meh, if you don't have anything else they do not sound bad. The superlux is the different so i guess i would say they are better. I would not use the superlux as my main headphone tho because of them leaking sound and being able to hear everyone in my house with them on. Sorry if this was a bad comparison.
For anyone who own a 668b: how much can I isolate external sound using this headphone? I know they are semi-open headphones but can I expect to isolate sounds like: people talking, cars, and other "urban" sounds? While I listen to some music of music on medium volume for example... Thanks !!
Did your replacement ear pads increase the sound quality? I've read where some say it did on there's, while slightly lowering the bass, but increases the overall detailed sound?????
They made them feel more open, it did feel more detailed due to the treble being more potent than before. It depends because if you don't like a treble sound they may be a turn off for you. Overall in my opinion I would say its an improvement but the treble can be a little bit annoying sometimes.
I know you wasn't asking me, buy changing the ear cushions, DOES enhance the sound. I replaced the originals with some replica Steelseries AirWeave ear cushions. It makes a difference.
U will 100% need a mini portable amp to drive any of these headphones to get full potential and amazing sound from them cause your stupid phone do not have the power no have an integrated amp to drive big headphones and they will sound like shit if u go that route. Also the perfect audio cables to connect to the amp and phone/dac/etc and to the headphones are VERY IMPORTANT as getting the wrong and cheap cables (type of materials used) will definitely give you that perfect studio live quality soundstage or not! Trust me, audio cables do freaking matter! I have finally found the perfect audio cables + portable amp that make these Superlux HD668b sound incredibly AMAZING with the best soundstage than any $200+ headphones! And all this with still having the stock earpads the SuperLux came with!
Well, these are the only open headphones i have tried and it is really noisy where i am so i haven't enjoyed them as i could. They do leak sound a lot so someone will hear exactly what you are listening to, the velour pads get dirty very quickly so it has cloths bits on them and you will need to clean them often to avoid this. I have dropped them and not been gentle with them and surprisingly they are in good shape. The clamp from them was gone after a while. After looking around at other headphones, i personally would look elsewhere and not get these again. On the other hand there are people that absolutely love these headphones, so it depends. (Sorry if this was badly worded out)
They aren't exaggerated anywhere... pretty well balanced, i would say, as the name indicates (B stands for balanced). Actually, i think they sound absolutely great for the price. Not that boomy bass most of the hi-fi headsets nowadays have, the bass is there and well definced and clear, not putting a layer over the other frequencies like those ultra bass headsets do. The trebles aren't harsh either. IMO, they're really sounding nice.
5:07 u can actually adjust these. u just have to pull a little harder
What do they do actually? I can't figure out the difference between pulling them out, and keeping them short...
Hi, by now you should already have noticed, I guess. But they are adjustable. Takes a bit of force, but they do slide up and down.
+Ivo Faustino Nope I still had no idea, thanks for informing me. I feel a silly now haha.
+KingKuzos So, are they really adjustable? and for CSGO, this headphone is a good choice?
how about the bass?
+YuklFPS Yes they are, I was pulling the outer frame and not the pads that rest on your head that part is adjustable, my bad there. The bass I would say is OK for me, but if you are bass heavy or just want more you can buff up your EQs.

Opening up that sound stage with more comfortable velour will have it up to par when it comes to the 3D location psycho-acoustics.
A headphone review that starts with "sorry guys the audio is crap" in the description..
the irony ^^
+1! I have Superlux HD681 EVO. Super!!!
+Liternyj IT Nice me too. They are full sounding headphones! I also have SPH9500, M50x, HD598, but prefer the HD681 for gaming and music the most.
Do the superlux sound better that the Monoprice headphones? Tks.

Have you put tissues behind the foam? I have heard that it improves the sound quality, but i'm sure sure whether to do it or not.
I have tried this with other headphones but not these, i think the sound and comfort with these ear pads are good enough.
is there a link to get the optional pads from the US?

Nope, you can hear everything with them on, they leak sound as well so anyone sitting next to you can hear what ever you are listening to.
Thanks!
Dont buy them in that case, the big soundstage is thank to the open back.

Also because they are semi-open I have to have the volume quite high to drown out external sounds.

I know this is old, but what are the perfect audio cables and portable amp?
How are they holding up after nearly a year ?

is the adepter in the box ?
Yep
okay , thanks
How is the bass on these? I know they are treble cannons. lol
+Robert Martinez I would say its OK, I usually mess around with the EQs when listening to music with these.
