Boys an ad that you probably don't want coming up (major online competitor) came up when I pulled this video up. Maybe time to have a talk with, if you can do such a thing.
Enjoyed this as usual!
Sounds amazing. I have a GPCPA4 and with fresh strings, it sounds like a grand piano. It was also cheaper. I just would love to see a comparison between these two. In any case a lifetime of joy makes a great guitar a worthy investment and you can pass it down to younger generations. Thanks for your great content. I watch it regularly.
Hi Quinton and Paul .
Usually I prefer a natural wood top or finish. But these tobacco burst finishes are looking better all the time !! Great tone on the dreadnaught, too.
I like this one. I’ve been wanting to upgrade from my old 214ce that I bought in 2009. I love the size and how it sits on my lap.
Very nice. Love that.
Thank you for another excellent video. I think the 400 series my favorite. IF I were to buy another Taylor I would buy the 414CE. Easy to play guitars. There is “ something “ about the Taylor sound that just doesn’t open my wallet. I’d rather spend for other American made. I’ve owned 4 other Taylors but always moved back to the other classic American guitars.
Thank you
Quinton - nice T-shirt!

As the car hot-rodders used to say - there is no replacement for displacement. Larger body cavity makes a difference. Please send me BOTH for a long-term evaluation!
Does Paul play guitar?
I recently bought a 414ce , a real beauty, easy to play and a great sound. However, I am noticing the B string jumping out very noticably and bright. A sales person told me to replace the B and E strings to a thicker gauge. No change. Then I read about the three small screws on the bridge. It said to back the screw on the treble side til the sound went away. It is loose as a goose but that darn B wants to take control of the sound. Any ideas?
All i w8 for is an guitar with mahogny top and rosewood back and sides. Make it happend 👍
How much it costs?
Just over $2700.
I already have eight high end Taylor guitars it's my birthday this month and I'm thinking it's gonna be my ninth guitar with the Taylor brand I love this guitar,I had a 418 E and have bawled like a baby everytime I think about me selling it.I also have Martin guitars and others brands but I'm a true Taylor guitar I want that 417 E-R and I will own it by the end of March 25th,I have 614ce,614ce Builder's Edition WHB v- brace,814ce DLX v-brace,816ce,914ce,K-24 ce v-brace Baby Taylor ,And a mint condition with original case and key 1980 Martin D-28 that is the best Martin guitar out of many Martin guitars and Epiphone guitars that I play outside at cookouts or campfires,My heart and love is the Taylor's,I sold my Martin D-45 and bought the 914ce Taylor and I have absolutely no requests,I honestly think Martin is way too overrated and I've had over thirty Martin guitars,I never liked a D-18 and I tried to find one I loved just never found it,I had three D-35S all at the same time and the binding came off all three of them ,My brother n law has a nineties D-35 and that binding came off his also,I had five different D-28s one a twelve string hardest guitar to play and it was set up twice this 1980 D-28 is my prize possession in the Martin guitars. The Taylor that I'm playing at the time is my favorite Taylor guitar.Ive never played a Taylor guitar that wasn't a really great sounding and easy playable guitar,And also Epiphone is making some dang pretty nice guitars for the money. so Im pretty sure I'm a die hard Taylor guitar guy.I have so many guitars my wife hates them all lol.She don't understand the love between a guy and his many and never enough guitars.
I have 3 Taylor's and 9 guitars total and my buddy has 20 of all kinds! We are both widowers, so that keeps us out of trouble!
Is this the taylor 414 CE-R ?
Same thing?
I’m thinking it is since the R should mean Rosewood instead of ovangkol
There's that thin trademark Taylor tone that drives so many players to other brands later in their development and ear acclimation.... The most playable guitars on the planet so good for students and good for full band gigging thanks to that easy service neck joint, but beyond that there's just nothing remarkable there.
Will there ever be an American Dream -14 guitar?
