Lived there with my grandmother when I was 10-ish back in 1960. Place hasn’t changed a dime’s worth since, which to my 10-year old eyes is nostalgic. They even got the Grand Theater (33:42) back up and running, which is a separate story I followed for a couple of years. There is little as sweet as small town memories. Thanks. ❤
I see they finally torn down the old Park Place School. That was a eye sore for many decades. Time Line 3:46. The old Huth Hospital needs to be torn down also. It is a vacant building. Time Line 5:14. You see it on the left. I don't know if Yoakum has a "Neighborhood Protection" department where complaints can be voiced.
@@jim1528 Wasting time until some one gets hurt or killed and you will see lawyers falling out of the sky looking for anyone they can sue. That can cost the city millions.
Thank you for posting this. Its a town on our short list of retirement towns. We need to escape the craziness of the i-35 corridor. Definitely looks like we'll be taking a closer look.
Nice

Oh, you can voice your complaints but you'll just be wasting your time.

I live on HWY 530 south of Speaks, TX about 47 miles from Yoakum. Yoakum's too big a city for me, I like the country life.
Nice driving tour of Yoakum, Texas.

Is it?
Yep
@@boristheactionwolf8275 If you mean Jenny's Tacos, then yes, that's it.
Jenny tacos is my favorite 🤩
Yoakum is a small town. But I was wondering you can do Waxahachie, TX to Dallas, TX getting off 287 and getting back on 45 North ending in Dallas
Yoakum is in south Texas. Wax and D are several hours north.
Very nice video 😍
